So... monks again with their stagger are in top of the list.
I feel as if with every article, there needs to be a big headline-emphasis on "play what you feel comfortable with." because people always take it as applicable to themselves even if the author himself says that it's the opposite. If you raid in a guild that's not raiding very high world ranking, it somewhat doesn't matter. Still, somewhat competitive guilds ~W100 still require you to play the best. If your W300 guild requires you to play a certain class when you're doing a splendid job on yours already by all metrics, although a valid request from a guild leadership that wants to push further, unless you're the problem, there's no point in switching. You won't jump any meaningful ranking if Steve still messes that one mechanic up for the 100th time in a row.I think that (that I've seen) of guild officers use these articles as apologies for stupid decision-making without even realizing it. More often than not I see people borrow opinions from top people but without a foundation under that adoption.
u put bear above Bdk? , this article is for sure wrong in every waywe'll how that bear survive the dog magic hit , giga lol10 BOSS HAVE ABILITIES THAT blood DEATH KNIGHT can cheat with his ams and u put Bdk on b tier , lmfao
You should play the tank that has most infinite stars/echoing void and outdamage your dps by existing.
A lot of the abilities that could be cheesed with AMS were fixed after first testing. The ones highlighted in the notes in the article are the only ones that had value in negating on their 2nd/3rd tests.
During progression runs my brewmaster co-tank can tank the boss even for two minutes after I die, always the same
@calmboar while you make a good point, the writer addresses this as the concluding remark as well as the beginning. Even if they put it in big bold letters at the top, you’re still going to get ultra min/max world 4000 tryhards defaulting to Brewmaster even if it’s not their main.IMO most Wowhead guide writers provide a lot of nuance in their tier discussions. The player base is the issue and often lacks critical thinking skills, which hurts them down the road because a) they reroll away from specs they actually like and b) they might perform badly on the new spec, leading to dissatisfaction with the game.

Thanks sir, this should be added to this article. Thank you so much :D
Yes, absolutely this. No tank is an island.
The one you enjoy playing most. The end.
The comment from Veltrex is better than the article itself
* clicks on Tank Tiers explained ** finds no explanation of what S / A / B tier means * < new user
World top 100 Mythic guilds: "Blood DK will be very good in this raid because of the high utility it brings."Random Guy who writes wowhead articles:"Yeah, Blood DK is B tier &*!@ tank in this raid"Okay...
I play only as one character, don't have time for other. As Vengeance Demon Hunter i'm so happy he got some love.
It's not surprising Monks are fundamentally on top, Stagger is just absurdly strong for the way the game is designed currently. That being said, I agree that all tanks seem viable, you'll always be best with the tank you enjoy most and all bring different tools to the encounters.
agreed
eh... i'm happy being a pally tank for 20+ years, ty. :vAnyway, we know... the best ones MUST change things to be the world first, for exemple.Method changed race, class and faction during the Jaina M World First...Its cool to see how ppl can change everything to stay on top. :)
Before reading this post, I often valued the information listed by Panthea (being a blood dk main myself). Since reading this whole write up, I'm beginning to question other guides posted by this user. BM will still be "good", but with the stagger nerfs and bug fix to gift of the ox, they lost their god tier status. I would be shocked to see any of the top 50 guilds using the BFA standard of double BM (even less likely that the top 10 guilds run 1 BM for the majority of their fights). The info provided by Veltrex in a comment is 100% more useful than anything listed in this post (pointed out by other comments already)If your intention was to dissuade players from swapping their tank main to blood to possibly prevent such a spike in BDK tanks in raid that blizzard notices and drops heavy nerfs & ability reworks to the class during the 9.0 pre patch, then bravo.
