This seems to continue the SL trend of making generic items (mage food) less powerful than player items (crafted food). This goes with things like drums and scrolls being less powerful than the player-provided buffs. Blizzard trying to make professions meaningful?
Looks like an arena based change, but you can use any food in arena? I thought that was only mage food and specific foods. Because my stat boosting food were not working last I checked. And it wasn't because i was in combat, it was waiting behind a pillar for the enemy to come at us.
This is only a nerf to non-hardcore players that don't know about fish feasts for m+That's the way Blizzard, nerf the bottom end players even harder.
Sigh. Just keep this change in M+ and arena, not the whole game! So tired of how tryhard behaviour in those places changes things in the whole game.
I think you forgot you can eat the sugar-crust feast while also drinking a normal water, I’ve been doing it for years on high keys, it is the fastest mana regen method.
People really complaining about this?Good change. Love it.
Shamans got mp5 water shield and mana tide totem back, combined with their crits giving mana back passive resto sham seems to be the mana efficient healer now. This change makes that even more valuable.
not a fan of this, but overall not a huge issue so it's really just -_-(and I play all the mana based classes through my alts, with a shaman main.)
It was already the case in arena, where you had to drink for 2-3 sec to see your mana bar go up
I mean if you're not already using fish feast in high end keys then honestly we're talking about a few seconds (by the looks of the data)seems like just another way to slow the game down however so slightly. it is the current trend with SL... target caps on AOE being the main thing
Just disable drinking in arenas as to not punish everyone.
I bet this weekend we'll see another news post. "Sugar crusted feast will now follow the rules of normal food, since Wowhead graciously pointed out an overlooked element of this item."
put it in the corner with other useless ideas nobody asked for just to stretch out literal seconds of game play time along with the gcd changes, portal room, mount equipment or the reduced max camera distance
Nerf to Darkmoon Fish Feast in 3... 2... 1...
Honestly I like the return to target caps on AOE - its boring af to just mega pull and AOE...mega pull and AOE. I miss when pulls took skill and were challenging (and it's why people suck at timewalking where you still have to CC adds instead of mega pulling)...instead of just blindly spamming AOE on every mob in the dungeon at once.As for drinking? Well, if people lose their minds about a few more seconds of drinking, they've got more serious issues, I'd think. Mega-pull, drink, mega-pull drink is pretty low skill effort, so seeing people get good at mana management and skillful pulls again? Sounds great. (People complain it's too easy, then complain more when a tiny bit of effort is required once again, just like it used to be. Just kind of boggling how the community complains until it gets what it wants, then complains about getting what it wanted. If you want non-stop snooze-fest mega-pulls, FFXIV is still alive and well.)
Absolutely bad and unnecessary change.
