I hope all alliance turn it off. See how long warmode stays fun when theirs nobody left to fight
Wow. Is it me or leveling will be even faster that pre 7.3 now? Because what we're seeing is an averaged 30% reduction to xp required, and a now 30% bonus tp XP gained when in warmode. Say you need 1000 xp to level up, and it currently takes you half an hour (that's roughly my level rate between lvl 60 et 90 right now, after that it becomes a lot faster (pro tip, level up in Gorgrond when you're in draenor).After the patch, it will only take you about 40 minutes in neutral mode, and about 30 minutes with war mode activated (30 minutes with 10 minutes worth of free xp with the war mode bonus)
Alliance already gets 3x the honor we do from battlegrounds, why bring in more favoritismif they dont want to pvp so be it
The fix would be to eliminate the PVE bonus period.What we're seeing here is the vast... horde I guess, of PVE players on horde side takin advantage of their numbers. Its understood that with so many of them, the legit PVP players on alliance stand little chance of doing any PVP around WQs (which would be hotspots). So the only way to do world PVP then, is to get a raid or zerg going - which usually ends with getting outzerged because there's more horde.Alliance PVE players of course, don't join warmode out of fear of PVP.The result then, is that horde PVE players are exploiting the PVE bonus - while alliance PVE players don't get it.All the while, the actual PVP players are left wondering why the heck we can't get any decent PVP, in the mode made for us.OWPVP raids are a natural part of the process - but the build up of 'kicking the hornets nest' never happens, and it's immediately to raiding if you want ANY PVP... you may as well just do a BG.If this bonus was supposed to make up for 'inconvenience' (pfft) due to PVP while doing PVE, it has failed miserably.One solution I can think of, which WOULD foster PVP:Only issue the bonus if you have participated in PVP recently. Only granting the bonus to a WQ is you PVPed at that WQ.Sound complicated? I sure am glad we have computers to handle that for us.There's no point in giving the bonus out as a blanket deal if you don't ever have to PVP to earn it. Maybe make it so the more you PVP, the better the bonus. Perhaps a smaller extra boost for participating in kills...Some kind of transmog or reward system for collecting enemy players heads (ears, teeth, w/e) to trade in for PVP related gear, toys, mounts etc. A new updated Flag of Pwnership maybe?Also, restrict or disable Flying in warmode. By restrict I mean - max airspace is only so high above the ground - leaving players within range of attack by ranged players, or ner guns.Disable as in... disable in BFA areas. Flying has been a long running gripe amongst the PVP community. Now that we have warmode - there's little cause to listen to the unfortunates who 'rolled a character on the wrong server for but they don't wanna pvp'Want to fly? Go back to your home city and turn off warmode. Leave us alone to murder eachother in peace furious warfare.
players dont really want to play alliance for lots of reasons and all of them can be taken as subjective and individual choices.faction imbalance will never be fixed, ever. players will always prefer ones side over to the other. be it by friend reasons, loyal reasons, WC3 reasons, looks, racials, pvp, pve.
Maybe they should not have overbuffed belf and troll racials in first place and nerf human racial massively that renders it close to useless in PvP (not to mention PvE) If 75% of ladder is Horde and like 100 to 10 guilds was first Ghuun kills, then it is pretty obvious what needs to be changed. So many dungeons -require- you to have mass dispells / purges, convinient that Horde suddenly got pocket AoE dispell, do not you think?
Also, as for the "alliance gets ...." favoritism thing?Only happens because without it, Alliance being in PVP wouldn't be a thing. The PVP population is overwhelmingly horde because of racials and following top players who chase them. It's why this warmode issue is a thing at all.It's also doubtful if it will do anything at all - with previous call-to-arms buffs, it offered PVP rewards for PVP. This time it's PVE rewards for PVP... which is what broke Warmode in the first place.IF it somehow gets Alliance PVErs to join it (pfft) this 30% buff will slowly make up for the fact that Horde has been free to make use of the 10% buff since alliance all but dropped out of it.The only true favoritism going on, is the fanbase favoritism for being red, and their fetish for blood elves.I'm wondering if there's any youtube videos showing just how ridiculous the unbalance is - just how badly horde fills warmode right now.Perhaps a video to record as me and my buddies take our rogues/ferals to 120.
Blizzard should just recognice and admit that world pvp just sucks! In every expansion they are trying to establish new pvp formats and every expansion they fail!What is the problem to play pvp only in designed areas like arenas and battlegrounds?If somebody wants to do pvp, you can do it there. No one needs open word pvp which is most often equal to killing solo players by a group, and kill him again and again and again ...Open pvp is just so ridiculous unnecessary
Just remove the damned War Mode bonus already and instead make player kills reward something. This "doing PvE content with PvP enabled nets you better rewards" is unfair for strict PvE players. You should get rewards from doing PvP stuff with war mode on, not PvE stuff like world quests, because with this change, you're indirectly FORCING players to have war mode ON at all times otherwise they will get way waaaaaaaay behind their PvP fellows for doing exactly the same content.Or better yet, bring an end to the factions and finally be done with the ridiculously bad plot going on this expansion.

I'm a Horde PVE player and I turned on War Mode and was consistently ganked by large groups of Alliance players and haven't went back to it since. So the Alliance bias here is proper hypocritical. Your faction does it all the time, too.I don't think rolling Alliance makes you by default a nice person who doesn't gank people, definitely not in my experience.
I hardly doubt the problem with the balance is about the reward being bad. It is because a lot of Hordes are jerks and run around in big groups and murder low levels without a second tought. I hate PvP and even being a Horde and most of the time knowing my faction is stronger, I will simples not have WM on because I don't want to fight. Giving more bonus to Alliance will not stop Hordies to sh*t on them. There will be just more poor peeps with WM on by themselves to Horde to murder.
As long horde status off ourway old system IS fine
