Anyway definitely playing a Vulpera hunter with fox pets. Oh I need to get the fox mount to!
Mechagnomes and Vulpera...
I cannot overstate my disappointment in the Alliance allied races and this class list does nothing to sway that opinion.
Damnit, no new druid races.Vulpera would've been perfect. =(
Why Mechagnome priests? That doesnt make sense at all. You have to make classes unique, yet make them available literally for everybody. Also Warlocks why? Shamans used to be specific Horde exclusive class. We have a lot of shamans in the Horde, so please remove shaman option for Vulperas.
Highmountain Tauren and Lightforged Draenei have the least available classes amongst Allied Races. And it makes sense. No HM Tauren Pallys or LF Draenei Shammies just because. So they really shouldn't have added all these classes to Mechagnomes and Vulpera when it makes very little or no sense.Warlocks and Priests? Come on. No.
These class options need to be reconsidered. There is zero reason for Vulpera or Mechagnomes to be Warlocks. There is little reason for either to be Priests, but there is a lore-friendly route consistent with canon for each one; Mechagnome Priests are tapping into Titan protocols, and Vulpera Priests are tied to a loa (Jani by default). Mages aren't so hard; Mechagnomes, again, access existing Titan protocols to access those powers, while Vulpera learn haphazardly from friendly outsiders and the few loremasters they have. Vulpera Shaman is excusable due to Zandalari and Kul Tiran contact. Mechagnomes, however, should get Paladins; the route echoes the real origins, which is a fusion of Priest and Warrior protocols into a hybrid suitable for supporting both in differing roles.
Like the Zandalari?
Blizzard Logic: Lets make a race be both able to be priest and warrior, yet somehow the warriors don't feel like teaching the priests to use weapons so that we can have paladins.Yet, lets have pandarens fly outta the wood work and teach that same race to be master martial artists and channel chi and nature magic over-night, so they can be monks.
Of course as soon as I discover my love of Paladins, and abandon all the other classes (of which I have all of them), none of the races I want have them. (sad faces).
That's pretty much what was predicted, plus a few of the hopefuls; Mage, Priest, Monk. The only real surprise here is Warlock. We knew it was highly unlikely to have a Druid though so I'll be continuing to main Alliance, but I think I'll give Monk a try. Now if only there was a way to gift Vulpera to friends I recruit to the game. Seriously, it may not be SUPER hard to get Vulpera unlocked, but it's still unfair to have someone burn their boost, grind to 120, grind Vulpera rep, THEN re-level with Vulpera. I say this because there are definitely a LOT of people out there who will want to play as a foxxo but it's gated in an unpleasant way, so...
Ughhh I knew it was coming and am still so disappointed in mechagnomes.
what come on vulpera and zandalari are on the same island but one of them can be locks and other cant o.O
