Why on earth could they not just make class sets with thematics that were just directly taken from the raid, as they've already done sometimes? I really don't get this excuse to slim all the unique cool transmog down to 4 different sets, and that's it.At least if the instance then had a lot of bonus mis-match tmog, but no, everything looks the same.Pathetic.
you could always wear the non set pieces of other classes of the same armor type. gave you 3 alternatives to collect. Now you have 1 look for everything in there. NO alterations? From 12 to 4.. means from 4 to 1 or 3 to 1 or 2 to 1 options for the single player. This is sad.You do not have more options outside. There are two sets from kultiras per armor type and two sets from zandalar. Problem: you have them all running normal dungeons. Those are the leveling pieces.I know of one transmog set in Shrine dungeon. Are there more?
It is too early to review Blizzard's approach of one set per armor type, for each raid. In my view, if Blizzard creates less armor/weapons, it means those hours/time creating items will be invested somewhere else. If having one set per armor type is how it works, what if Blizzard invested the time they saved by making more raids, additional types of content - perhaps more sets from new island expeditions, war-fronts, perhaps an additional raid tier, or lots more dungeons. To that end, I would much rather have 1 set per armor type, if it means I have more dungeons, raids, and war-fronts. The amount of armor per raid before BFA is 12 * 4 (1 for each difficulty, although they are recolours) = 48. 48 * 3 (number of raid tiers) = 144. Compared to BFA: 4 * 4 = 16 * 3 = 48 pieces of armor from raid tiers. A difference of 96 armor sets. That means, Blizzard has to make 96 more armor sets to become equivalent with previous expansion's.I would much rather have those 96 remaining armor sets be invested in time creating more raids, dungeons, and brand-new content never seen before, than having unique sets. If this is the path Blizzard has chosen in BFA, I am glad they made this investment.
I'm just annoyed that I've played this game for over a decade, finally get a pirate-y expac and still haven't gotten a simple, plain black or brown tricorne for my Rogue. The only one I currently see, has a mask attached. If this expac ends and I don't have one, I'm going to do start typing in CAPS or something.
Can we get class sets back? So far Blizzard has failed to put the effort into replacing them.
"Maybe mail will get a good set next raid." said every mail user after each raid.
I have never been more happy that I don’t do raids. I will not be disappointed about not getting any of this gear.
First week of uldir its okay,... (2 weeks later)...: RandomPlayer: WTS Uldir hc 250kgold all bosses, 150 last boss pst me.: RandomPlayer: Lfm Uldir hc 360 ilvl only link archievement Ahead of the Curve: G'huun pst me.
So... 4 sets for a raid tier? Gotta be kidding me. I thought it was disappointing when i saw the legion elite pvp sets were recolors of mythic raid tiers. Literally no effort on sets this expansion.
too damn long weapons? The last longbow we've got was when - wotlk? bc?that 'thing' is a toy for a kid - at best
I don't...hate the look of it its kind of plain but not the worst? I love that blizzard is making armor look bulkier, not just pained on armor and is attempting to fix the boob concave issue but with this being the only set (as far as I can tell) its going to have everyone looking the exact same which is frankly really boring.
Even if they aren't going to do class sets, they could have multiple armor sets per armor type. I've frequently preferred a mix-and-match look. Gives you a choice if you want kilt/robe or pants, or personalize your character to best match their theme with as much current gear as you can. And considering how little they cared about keeping the HoV xmogs looking right, that doesn't bode well for raid tiers with few looks.
