I disagree, I enjoy his meme approach. Fun, fast, action packed up to date news.Plus he incorporates info from his twitch chat, so he’s on the pulse of wow player rants.Thumbs up from me.
Cliff Notes please? :)
I share the concern of starter gear being earned too slowly to really matter by the time you have all of it - basically at that point it's merely a transmog set. I wonder why the devs keep doing this - it was the same nonsense with Sandsworn Relic gear in Zereth Mortis.
Woo, love me some Taliesin! I kinda think the low-stat gear is just for transmog at this point. What order should gearing be in?World-Quest GearReputation GearDungeon GearH Dungeon GearM Dungeon GearM+ Dungeon GearPVP Honor GearPvp Honor ranked up GearPvp Conquest GearLFR GearNorm Raid GearH Raid GearM Raid GearWe have so many sources that most people just look at what's most efficient.Say if our friends group is clearing Heroic Raid and we're not terribly coordinated, we have disabled gamers and new players. The best thing for our strongest players to do is to gear up through Arena and Mythic Plus. Then the drops from the Heroic Raids are lower than what we're wearing. Is this a bad thing or a good thing?Should I be able to run World Quests and get gear same quality as LFR?Why or why not?I think that grinding out Reputation/Assaults/Farming-Tokens should be rewarding and I'm fine with it being LFR to normal raid value. Have like something you can only get once every two weeks be the same as normal raid ilvl, why not?But the classic formula used to be vaguley: You run dungeons to get gear for Raids. You run the starting raids to get gear for the new raids.I also like when pvp gear is the best (or usually the best) when you pvp. I like that playin in Warmode grants me ilvl 900 instead of 850, yet to pve I need to pve for gear. Makes sense to me.But questing is a fun part of the game and should be beneficial. Yet how beneficial?I think you can timegate questing gear if it's desirable beyond transmog value. I think you should lower the stats if it's more easily accessible, maybe place it around heroic dungeon level.Speaking of that.. Personally, I think we should just get rid of heroic dungeons. I haven't been inside one since Legion. We ding max level, then immediately clear all the Mythic Dungeons. When 2nd week opens up, we run M+. Who are heroic dungeons for and is that case strong enough to keep them around, having more gear ilvl equations in the mix?
What I am missing the beta are increased stack sizes for crafting materials.I will be realy upset if they only increase the stack sizes for Dragonflight materials as they currently have. And I am missing new options for the UI, like adding more bars or making bars bigger than 12 "icons".Configureable popup-buttons would be sweet, like mage portals or summon demon but for everything you like to have within short reach but not displayed all the time.Like a button for ground-mounts, for professions, for toys, whatever.
Taliesin is a hot mess in his streams that devolve into him slinging mud with unhinged people in his chat. Wowhead should not associate with T&E, because Taliesin is bound to get himself in trouble on stream. Bet.
As expected. Raid, M+, or die. This gear was already terrible and took too long to get, so they nerfed it anyways to take longer. lol.I expect an ilvl nerf next, can't have filthy non raiders/m+ers running around in gear anywhere near usable.
Really hope we just don't have all the information. 20 weeks to get a full almost Normal raid set was bad enough already, making it LONGER is the wrong step. They want outdoor players to have a progression path, but that path shouldn't be multiple times as long as other gearing paths for weaker gear. If it's going to take that long, it should be stronger.Honestly, the best thing they can do is make the LFR level stuff grindable, the Normal mode stuff earnable as a full set within 12 weeks, and use zone-specific buffs like ZM had to give outdoor players non-ilevel power boosts in non-instanced content. THAT part can be a bit more of a grind. That way it's a longer-term goal for outdoor players and an unnecessary one for heroic/mythic raiders/people doing high-enough M+ keys.
Soo we got a system for open world gear acquisition. Of course the prices needs to be adjusted but in the end it is nothing else than cypher gear just without the ilevels in-between unlock and high rank. Some players wanted gear for open world activities and this is it.Having the upper limit at normal raid seems fine by me.Maybe add an upgrade item with a low drop chance of once per week from the invasion events, that will upgrade one piece to heroic maybe even mythic level
