Players: We don't like Tyrannical and Fortified.Blizzard: Here you get both on +10.
Have to imagine they’ll either tune down how much difficulty is added per key level, and/or make fort/tyran a lower % added to accommodate the extra 20% at higher keys and being active at the same time. Maybe fort 15% dmg/10% hp added, and tyrannical maybe 10% dmg/15% hp at most. Overall seems like good changes in theory anyway. Like the idea as a mid-key level player of maybe tackling a 12+ right at the end of the season when really geared but not needing to if you don’t wanna.
BOTH Tyrannical and Fortified at the same time Great, I can't wait for m+ to be significantly slower unless they lower the % they gain by like a lot because all each affix do is just make either trash or bosses is make them boring damage sponges.Blizzard can you please for the love of everything put some more effort in to the affixes just flat out more health and damage is the WORST and LAZIEST way to bump difficulty hopefully vault rewards are maxed at a +8, so I don't have to deal with both I really hope they bump the rewards for those who push because the same reskin mount from season to season is even weaker of a reward than before
Is this a joke?At this point I must agree that neither fortified nor tyrannical makes any sense. Either revert it or remove both and be done with it finally. (if only blizzard was not so hellbent on trying to babysit keys well above the weekly cap.... at this rate soon enough we will have a single dungeon but with different textures for the entire season and a single class with different animations)
This sucks. It really should just be alternate as it's been up until now...However I'd be fine with both being active at once for +11 and above. Let the try-hards fight for a ranking system which doesn't matter....It's not the "difficulty" that bothers me with this. But the huge amount of extra time you have to spend in each key.Keys should not be longer than 20-30 min. With both being active, I can imagine several dungeons ending up at a 40-50-ish min.

I feel like Tyr and Fort being active 100% of the time above 9 will probably make those higher keys feel more consistent. E.g. You aren't going to avoid running Dungeon X on Tyr weeks because it's bosses are punishing and buffing that aspect of the dungeon up kills your opportunity to push every other week. But at the same time, just running my weekly keys for max rewards in the vault it's a forgone conclusion you are going to clear, I liked the variance between hard bosses/hard trash every other week. It made running the same dungeon feel different and kept it from going stale for longer. The new Xal affixes having strong theming is awesome. I like that a lot. They could also accomplish adding variance to your weekly keys so I don't hate the change but (I know its a minority opinion) I did really like the type of variance Tyr/Fort provided. Hard bosses vs hard trash weeks.Edit: Just clicked through and read the complete blue post. Seems like Tyr/Fort, Challengers Burden, are active 100% of the time above +9 and at +12 Xal Guile removes the bargains and replaces it with a % increase on enemies. I don't know what level max vault rewards are being placed at in TWW (I know one major change was Aspects crests start being rewarded at +9 instead of DF S4's +6) so assuming they come in at around the Aspects crest range. You have this goldilocks area 9-11 with variance week to week and max vault rewards. Then beyond 12 you have a really consistent set of affixes that caters to pushing score? Actually kind of cool solution to the problem of making high keys more consistent but also giving variety to those weekly vault keys.
Finally don't have to not want to play in tyrannical weeks! Great change to just make it consistent.

I just don't get why they are still doubling down on even NEEDING affixes for variety. the only reason they existed in legion is because they were a fix to having to do same dungeons for a year and a half. they rotate them now. problem solved, abolish affixes.
Classic Blizzard dancing around the obvious solution they'll do in 3 expansions, which is removing affixes from M+. Spend time making good ass dungeons and not worrying about whether affixes will work in them or not.
Well that just sounds like lazy writing...They should bring seasonal affixes back, if well made they allowed for so much flexibility... Awakened allowed you to plan your route, and skip annoying mob packs; Tormented gave you a choice: deal with mini-bosses now or save some time and have more difficult last boss; you could time Prideful so that you get buffed right before boss fight...Now the "revolurionary change" is just piling up the same affixes, that 99,99% of people don't even notice other than fights taking slightly longer. 4th boring season incoming!
Key pushers in shambles. Meanwhile the rest of the player base who have zero interest in pushing are living large with these changes. Thank you blizz
