What about the scripts and arena botting?
It's hilarious that ~95% of their answers are still:"Great question, this is indeed a valid concern! Internally, we talk about this topic a lot... We have a lot of discussions!"*cut*, end of answer.Yeah, every part of the development team seems to have a lot of *talk*, and nothing being done with the problems in the last 6 years (starting from BfA) now.
I would love a WvW mode for WoW like in GW2. A persistent 24/7 battle with territories changing hands through capturing different objectives like forts and castles.
Damn for someone who literally pvps, all day along year after year... I was expecting venruki to ask better questions about the state of pvp. This "interview" is just a glorified ad for the stupid new bg that no one will queue for after the first few months.Sad.I wish someone would really grill the devs and ask for real pvp changes. Nothing will change in tww, its just going to be another mess as far as pvp is concerned. What a shame.
*sigh of relief* glad rbgs will still be around. I'd heard they were replacing them with Blitz and while I do like Blitz, I don't feel like it fills the void that would be left if they did completely remove rbgs.
State of PVP: We talk a lot about stuff but just do the bare minimum, but hey get off our backs we added a battleground with mine cards... again...
Dragonflight class tunings have been great, compared to BfA for example tunings are much much better, we don't feel like devs are captured and being kept inside a cage for 1 year now. As long as we have access to tier sets through PvP tier sets in PvP are not a problem, the problem derived from necessity of raiding in the past. And 1 more thing, raid gear is heavily nerfed nowadays in PvP situations, this must be default, it is okay to see 1-2 pieces of gear from raiding in PvP but we hate when they are a must have to be competitive. Dragonflight fixed many mistakes of the past about this.I still think they must give soloshuffle players Gladiator Mount, make it 100 wins above 2400, which is double of legacy 3v3 (50). And in order to give casuals something to pursue, they can sell gladiator mounts of the past inexchange of let's say 10x or 20x Vicious Saddles. This will be a looong grind but that way you'll reward people who que and play too many times. That is your objective right, you want people to play more. I don't even ask that for myself because I am objective oriented and play seasonal, just giving you ideas.I believe current situation of PvP is light years ahead compared to BfA times, whether it is gearing or accesibility, everything have been improved. You can boost participation further by increasing rewards.
PvP has a lot of problems and no one can deny that, and in the Shadowlands it was more popular than today and there were a lot more people, but I think at least part of that was because the quickest way to get equipped to do pve was to do pvpNow about the Queue, is it the same problem as the PvE LFR since it's been around since Woltk? Long queues because most players only do it afterwards Is this blizzard's fault or are they just asking for incentives like they do with tanks and heals in the Raid Finder that give more gold or give a bag to dps tanks or heals that join when they are in short supply?
The only real problem with wide participarion in pvp is simply because the rewards are so hard to obtain.Make the rewards a bit easier to get, glad mount enchant tmog etc and you will see great participation... look at plunderstorm it was all around a succes even with the hate received at the start. If the phylosofies persists the problems persist also, most people won't even bother and that's a shame since pvp is a source for really cool rewardsOme day mayb ehopefully we get a system that changes the fundamentals of how the reward system works and remove the rating side of it..
You should be able to get vicious saddle once a season from any pvp activity, it would be like renown track that tracks world pvp and every other instanced pvp, rated or non rated together.
venruki im disappointed you gone let them other two bring up the hard questions like mmr chaneg and rewards while you talking about healers get real
I wonder how they're going to factor in the Evoker range since it can't be fun to spend the whole match being kited. And it'd be unfair of the devs to say "Oh, just go Aug!" as though everybody likes Augmentation.
Pvp just needs more rewards across the board to incentivize people to do it. There should be hard to get skill based rewards like glad mount but add a renown track with bunch of cosmetics that casuals can just grind over the course of season.
Eh, i stopped doing pvp in wow and started to play pvp games elsewhere wow just has neglected pvp for years and they will continue neglecting it.
They should just give us a seasonal pvp battlepass for cosmetics including "gladiator" mounts with no rewards other than titles connected to actual rating. FFXIV did it, SWTOR did it, it's time that wow does it too.
