Kinda sucks how they're casting the titans into the evil tyrant role.Especially with how few cosmological forces left that are good(x'era and lightbound prove that the light can't be trusted, not wholly),life really hasn't been much help all in all and sometimes has been malicious as well(botani come to mind).Honestly, death might be the closest thing we have to a reliable ally right now with the covenant leaders and all.
wait was azeroth the queen of the moon kingdom weve been searching for all this time? behold, queen serentiy!
So, we knew from the Warcraft Chronicles book that the facilities were meant to safeguard Azeroth/monitor development. This quest basically lets the characters know that and also gives us a name (Manifold) for the entire system. Having said that, I'm not really a fan of Azeroth being some destined super-Titan/last Titan. Worldsouls are extremely rare (I think Azeroth, Argus, and the voidtakenplanet that Sargeras first freaked out over are the only ones outside of the Pantheon to be found?) but we've no evidence that they're finite. My interpretation/headcanon is that Azeroth is special because of the people living on her. The unique amount of bull&*!@ the world has gone through strengthens the spirit of the people which in turn feeds back into a stronger worldsoul. Would it give Azeroth unique strengths and perspective compared to other Titans? Absolutely. But it was never something she had from the start.
We convinced Algalon, the titans can be convinced as well. That said, the Titans and "Order" are the most rational force in the universe, despite their flaws. Until we know more about the mysterious "First Ones", I'm throwing my hat in with the Titans.
You clearly did not pay attention to the actions of the Titans previously and are now shoehorning your view on them as the "good guy," @fokers.You completely ignored their own Guardian/Overseer admitting they have purge billions of lives by putting your fingers in your ears and going "well....I disagree, because they're the good guys and believe in Order. Those other 'infested planets' had it coming." That's literally commiting genocide, because they aren't what you believe in or agree with. You're excusing their actions and making them good guys because you've already made the Fel and Void bad guys, when we have classes that utilize those very same sources for good. They believe in Order, not Life. There is a reason it's called the CURSE of Flesh and not the Gift of Flesh.
Titans aren't evil, they're super powerful beings who only see the universe from one perspective and think they are right and thus they, alone, have the duty and right to guide and manage the universe toward the 'proper' state - just like every other force does. The story is angling to position mortals as being of every force/perspective which gives us a greater understanding and power than the gods of one alone. No force is truly evil, some are certainly more corruptive and abusive and dangerous than others but they all think that's Just How Things Work and that they have the universe's best interests in mind. They all need a fighting to come to the realisation they need to look outside their box, just like Algalon all those years ago."The greater threat" we were warned about by Murozond, N'zoth, Jailer etc aren't just an ever-escalating Bigger Bad Behind the Big Bad, it's each other. More speculative: Azeroth is the sleeping creator goddess and the titans have used her power to order the universe. That's why she's so powerful - she's not just a worldsoul born randomly powerful, she's the first one, from whom all other world souls manifest.
