I want to see a group comp with Prot War, Holy Priest, Surv Hunter, Feral Druid and Demo Lock do that. That would impress me.

I think the VDH thing is more about the current kite meta/affixes/overtuned trash damage than it is about them being "OP". Chains/fear/silence sigils into Elysian Decree definitely skews our m+ damage numbers and our ADHD-like fly around mobility is literally the hallmark of the class from day one. Taking the Fiery Brand build/leggo definitely feels a lot less fun than the other route (spirit bomb/sigils leggo) but it's probably pretty close to a requirement with this meta. Honestly I know this comes across as bias since I main a VDH (and I'm just riffing here)... but I do strongly believe the answer is buffing the other tank classes, not nerfing one. I just don't know how you do that when the one thing that seems to really tip the scales is the mobility factor.
Really dislike articles like this. It just enforces the "meta" more. I already see people listing +10's and asking for balance druids ONLY! Like c'mon that is so unnecessary. This meta list really should only apply to +20's and even then its not that big of a deal. I think by now every class has timed at least a +20. For world first's then yeah its probably necessary to bring these classes or for the MDI where your trying to beat the dungeon as fast as possible.
If the biggest WoW fan site condones the activities of the toxic players it is influencing toxicity. Full stop. Their one last year literally said "if you aren't playing a form class, just reroll."

As a VDH main, i would suggest decreasing cleave dmg, and increasing Demon Spikes uptime.Made the class more balance, and tank like, while also made mastery less useless.
