For as much the argument on this topic has been about if this quest really fits or if these sorts of quests are nutering the game just keep this in mind. Whatever is in that gem is not Duroz's soul, the Red Dragons have never shown this sort of power before and if they did have it Alexstraza and the rest are jerks for not doing to dying Alliance and Horde soldiers during WotLK to keep them from becoming undead. We know where Duroz is going, Pelegos is likely to send him Maldraxxus or somewhere else to ultimately become Shadowlands fertilizer. This whole argument is moot because this expansion validates the terrible decisions ABK have made just like Spiderman: No Way Home validates all those terrible phase 4 movies and that's just the first example of something like this.Stop consooming and move on, I'm glad I canceled my subscription the only reason I'm following the news of this game is because it's like watching a train wreck in progress. But they are not getting another thin dime from me.
I can sorta understand the frustration in some of the comments, even if I can't approve of their attitude. It's all happening so suddenly and too quickly. Doesn't help that there's supposedly a timeskip between SL and DF, without a world revamp to prove it.In MoP, the Horde got its comeuppance in the form of the Sunreavers getting violently kicked out of Dalaran, a whole Civil War in the Barrens, and Orgrimmar being raided and sacked, with Garrosh beaten and detained. Not so much in BfA. Sylvanas nuked Undercity before Alliance could take it, Alliance only did damage to the newer members of the Horde, Zandalari and Vulpera, and Sylvanas getting away before a second Siege of Orgrimmar took place. At least in WoD, Garrosh was confronted and killed. SL had her undergo a change of heart and forced to do penance. So yeah, there's still some bad blood. Personally, I feel like this can only be resolved with some Alliance members commiting its own war crimes against Horde. That way, Horde gets a taste of its own medicine, and Alliance gets both satisfaction and the villain bat, balancing both sides out. Something that should've happened in the later half of BfA instead of Naga and Old Gods.
I think this side story, adds a little flavor and reference to old Warcraft lore. Also giving some more context that not everyone was on board with what was going on, also I doubt this old orc was the only orc to see it that way. Considering we had several expansions showing this in both the the Alliance and Horde, everything is not in black and white. Also a lot of people in the comments are looking too much into this, I can guarantee we will die with some regrets, also its obvious that people don't know lore on both factions, both good and bad they did. Also all the things they did to get too where they are and hard choices to be made. Or the simple fact they are die hard one faction people. But lets be honest here if what both of these factions did, in real life. Both of them would charged with war crimes with laundry list on both ends, at least by the standards of the Geneva convention. War is a messy and horrible thing, where a lot of people die due to being collateral damage, much easier for people spew things knowing they never experienced any war or any real conflict and the harsh reality of such things.
Everyone keeps asking for WoW 2 when in reality we all know the sequel will just be called World of Peacecraft and instead of fighting demons and dragons we'll be fighting microagressions and political incorrectness
Ah, once again Orcs are sad they genocided and enslaved. So sad
Love this one, hits right in the feels, a beautiful story of forgiveness and grace. Because, in case you all missed it, Duroz is very wrong about these reds not knowing what a Dragonmaw is. (look at how smart Wrathion was after hatching)They knew exactly what he was, and still forgave him anyway. Glad to see some follow through on what Alexstrasza said in War Crimes.Well done Blizz!.
Beautiful quest, beautiful message, cool writing, can't wait to experience it in Dragonflight !
Not encouraging for the possibility of Dragonmaw customization that he doesn't use Dragonmaw assets.
THIS is the Warcraft I want to play. Not whiny dead people.
Boo. Would rather the Dragonmaw be proud of their domination over dragons. Like a real Orc would.
I'm sick of hearing from Blizzard how important it is to forgive people that tortured, genocided, and yeah, in the Red Dragons' case, r-ped you, for no reason. This isn't character development, it's bending the knee to tyrants. All coming from a culture that thinks it's the victims who are wrong and uncivil for not kissing their abusers' feet rather than the abusers for doing it in the first place.Sexual violence is not forgivable. I would love to invite all the sadsacks in the comments to tell a real victim she should just forgive and forget and otherwise she's hateful and evil.
