Nothing for Warlocks? Like... a baseline interrupt?
Looking over the changes for classes I've played so far... I get it. Beast Mastery Hunter was pretty solid, and Frost Mages seemed to jump past Fire Mages. I was finishing up leveling a Paladin and noticed that it oddly seemed like I was doing more damage as Prot while being basically unkillable. And my Shaman (main character, and probably the class I have the most alts of)... Well, I'm sad to see Chain Heal get a small nerf, but I completely understand the Resto Shaman damage buff being nerfed at lower levels after reading about people who were leveling as Resto because it actually killed mobs easier (which just seems bizarre for a healer spec). Will have to see how it all shakes out. I doubt I'll really feel much effect from the changes, but on the theorycrafting and all it might bring things a bit more balance (but balance has never been perfect in WoW... at least we're no longer remotely close to how bad vanilla's balance was).
Link to Arcane Explosion is wrong it shows rank, not base spell. But its good mistake it shows that Blizz just delete the rank 2 buff with this nerf.....gj Blizz
That hunter nerf really feels unnecessary. It's like Uldir all over again.
What horrible tragedy befell a WoW dev at the hands of Chain Heal that they needed to nerf it? Chain Heal already felt weak and only worth using with procs. My RDruid is okay, my RShaman is okay but a tad slow feeling, but my MW feels hella clunky in raids. In PvP I'm having a great time until I have no more CDs or if I stop moving. I don't know what MWs need but basically the second I have to switch from single target to someone else it's like walking with a stack of pies and catching an uneven stone with my toe and I'm just scrambling and blowing through mana trying keep them from falling a la cartoon Benny Hill music. In 5-mans I feel incredibly weak and unable to keep up with any content. It's like I don't have a good party pause, nothing I can do to 'slow time', as it were, to bring the party back. On Druid I can Wild Growth, my AoE is instant, I can technically Swiftmend (though that feels totally broken at the moment, it eats a buff and always picks Regrowth and I don't -see- it catching a player and saving them), I just have so many instants and near-instant saves...oh and obviously Tranq. On RShaman the same, I've got the link totem, the big healing totem, riptide procs, I can rock ele worst case scenario, and with water shield and manatide (thank you), I can bounce back after whack-a-mole'ing the party with surges, etc. It's like I have the time to catch my breath. Both have CDs that feel more 'usable', like they're up way more often and pack a bigger punch. My gear was worse on both of them than MW because I really enjoyed MW. Then overnight it went from feeling good to feeling like flailing in the wind. It's almost like they didn't scale right but I only feel it in PvE esp 5 mans. Healing alone in PvP feels more impactful even with 10+ members than in a 5 man PvE. Essence Font with full charges like I literally see no health moving, it just keeps damage stable. Like I'm watching Revival wiff even and I go OOM so easily. I did a Waycrest Manor and the storm one to get my footing after pre-patch and I just felt like a failure. We didn't wipe but I was constantly OOM, locked in on health bars, always playing catchup. I was a Fistweaver before heading to BFA raiding, as it felt like that was a stupid choice to try to maintain in raids, but I guess I need to dual-spec MW and FW in 5-mans.Idk. Maybe it's me. Maybe MW is fine and I just can't play it right anymore. But I'ma still try! While also learning how to heal on Paladin and relearning Disc. I'm still feeling out all the other classes. There are some def. areas for improvement (like just delete WW Monks already) and one in particular stands out as superfreakingOP...Shadow Priest...but considering she has felt like trash for as long as I can remember and eh, I'm okay. That AoE feels sooooooooooooooo good. DH feels like a rag doll, Fury feels okay, Frost DK feels good (was Blood but I -hate- Blood tanking and finally gave up), Frost Mage feels good and proc-excitement is a welcome switch from the ever-missling Arcane. Balance feels clunky, like I'm chasing something, though I guess that's literally the mechanic now. Sub feels good, energy wall is like 4 mins in which is reasonable and the turn-over goes smoothly back into 4 solid minutes of efficiency so I don't feel like I'm waiting too much. BM Hunter feels good, I don't think this nerf will hurt toooo too much. Ele Shaman feels like it's missing something...But one thing I'm trying to remember is, like Blizz said, we're tuned to 'leveling' specs right now. We might still have azerite but we're basically stuck in a leveling, non-cap space right now trying to feel 'end-game'. Classes might feel like they're missing something until we get to 60 and specifically covenants and new mechanics. So I'm trying not to worry about percents here and there and more focused on getting in the groove with all characters.
I don't see why BM Hunters need a heavy handed nerf. Right now there power is coming for azerite traits that didn't get adjusted properly and a combo with a essence non of which will be factors in 13 days. Yes the ability to do damage while mobile is extremely powerful in of itself but we will start to see problems with the specs consistency when different people get locking in to covenants.I wish I could say I trust we won't be stuck in a covenant we don't want to be in but nothing that I have seen suggests that will be the case.
this is ridiculous ret pallies gonna hit more hard now
Lmao.. That's.. no. You're goofy. It did so much damage, it was busted in all content. PvE and PvP.
1.) I don't get why people are so mad treating these changes like they're the final say and will never be changed again2.) I have a BM/MM hunter alt I play both classes on and the nerfs to BM seem warranted for PvE, and I don't pvp with my BM. As for MM the changes are whatever for volley imo.3.) AYYYYY WARRIOR GANGGGGG4.) Why is everyone so mad paladins don't get a free one-shot in PvP anymore? I understand the implications caused in PvE are sorta bad, but I don't think any even geared match up deserves a one-shot in PvP.5.) Threat increase is needed, but I also hope it's not too much because I like the idea of a tank engaging while being healed by itself for a little to build threat before DPS are allowed to jump in. Something cool about being the tank and walking up to this massive beast like you own the place and having to beat it's ass by yourself a bit. It's like the tension built up when you see an old war movie and they're like "HOLD!..........FIRE!". That's probably super subjective though
I like the survival hunter changes. Thanks Blizz we can stay in S+ tier both in pve and pvp.
I'm so glad Demo locks never gets any buffs, cause this spec is cancer with pet AI. I am certain that blizz do not want this to be the dominating specc cause of all the headache it would cause players and them self. And stop whining about pvp, it's been dead for a long time, go play another game if you are serious about player vs player type of game. PvE is the fun in wow
