They have stated many times, focus has been on the non allied races primarily. They also said to keep requesting things that you like for your race as they intend to keep putting out customizations throughout the expansion but is not limited only to the non-allied races. More things are in development, please don't take it as an opportunity to poop all over the forums like children. They are doing a lot for us all and it's got to be a lot on the artists that work on things like this in addition to all of their other responsibilities.
I love all the new customization options, and how a lot of the old ones are split. I'm going to spend most of my time tomorrow at the barbershop. (barbershop mount next pls).I hope the teams that worked on it feel appreciated, because I think we want more! haha. Specifically allied race options, whenever they're ready for it. Mechagnomes metal tints especially, since they can't xmog as many slots. And mecha skin/hair for them. And the draenei options for LF. And... o there's so many opportunities :D
Dark Ranger customization should be a glyph for hunters that applies to their spell colors aswell. They really should do more stuff with glyphs
I know it's silly, but I want the animation on my character select screen so I can enjoy them forever after creation.
for an expansion feature and long-time begged for additions, these customization are good for what they are but severely lacking. all races needs tons more customizations. this is an ok first step but they really need to add a lot to each race and even some class customizatons as well. the menu/layout is awful, doesn't even look like it's from azeroth or taking place in wow. too sleek and modern looking, and some of it just plain clashes; shadows are too thick, the neon yellow is out of place, and the generic icons? what draws me to blizzard games is their art, and the screen's navigation lacks any warmth or heart or signature blizzard art style.patches or whatever better have loads more customization and cosmetics. for an expansion-draw, what's there is good but there's not enough.
Constructive criticism is fine.... but I see more complaining than anything. Allied races got shafted.. well they said they weren't their focus. We need more... well they said they will add more as patches come. I didn't get what I wanted but doing the process they have added more of what people wanted. Two instances are allowing male tauren have flowers along with females and the blue eyes for both elves. Both things the community asked for.
I don’t know what it is but for anyone not in beta the shadowlands feels like a different game to me. In a very good way. The lighting, sound almost everything looks and feels amazing. Now if only I could complete the ardenweald fly with ysera quest...
Art team yes does great work. Now if they could just do this UI polish to the party/raid UI
Worgen customize is off the chain white fur with grey strips omg with blue eyes..going to be wicked and diff ear length
Did he say anything about adding new options?
And now give us a random button at the barbar
I just wish they'd been consistent in character creation.Night Elves and Orcs get scars separate from faces. Human scars are locked to the face. Humans have 3x the number of faces because each faces 1/13/25 are identical but locked to a skin color. It's just... so weird how some races seemed to get amazing stuff and others nearly nothing. Worgen get a bazillion eye colors, but having 30 eyes is not the same as having 6 eyes, 6 scars, 6 tattoos, 6 ears, and 6 earrings. Both have 30 but one is way more actual customization.I'm glad we're getting stuff, but I wish they'd been consistent across all races.
I'm not sure I would call the number of character creation options "massive" but they are welcome. I hope they add more on a regular basis.
They really need to organize the categories better. Eye color is sometimes in the "face" tab, sometimes in the "jewelry" tab. The same option shows in different categories for different races, sometimes for the same race for the different genders too. Green Orcs have an "upright" posture toggle while Mag'har has a "hunched" toggle. Why don't both have the same option? For the actual new options, I like most of it. I still kinda wnted more hair styles, more beards for dwarves, beard options for Trolls, ear size option for Void Elves (Blood Elves got them, why not Void Elves?).They kinda implied they'll be adding more of these through the course of the expansion, similar to how BfA added more allied races, so I hope we get even better stuff down the line.
Good job. BUT:- you need to update detalization to the old haircuts. Otherwise we will see clone wars...btw, what about new dances that you have promised to us in 2007 ?
HATE what they did with human scar options. Instead of it being a free floating feature that can go on any face/color, like the other races, It's instead tied to only certain skin colors. Mostly the newer darker ones. *sigh*. At least my main is a darker (caramel?) skin tone already. So he can at least have the basic one over the eye.
God, I hope they change the nightborne male casting animation. It is PURE trash and something that stops me from playing them as casters. Which sucks, because I love them.
I'll be honest, Covenants, Legendaries, the general direction of the Lore, nothing in Shadowlands hypes me... except for the changes to transmog and customization. They did a bang-up job on that front. But if Blizzard wanna keep World of Warcraft going, they have a lot more changes to do, not only to the game, but to the way they go about producing expansions. If they can't step-up and move away from Activision's influence, a big chunk (if not the majority) of their players might abandon them to go see what DreamHaven has to offer, when they reveal their first games. Really curious to know what that'll be.Also curious to see if WoWHead will try to cover both Blizzard and DreamHaven.
*looks at Pandaren and their three new hairstyles and absolutly nothing else and cries*
