"If Legion Resto Druid was an $800 whisky then BFA Resto Druid is the same $800 whisky diluted in half a litre of water. Future exciting Azerite traits could fix this."Sums up every Druid spec in BFA.
I completely disagree on the hate for Autumn Leaves. In Beta, I found that very nice. In normal damage modes DPS only needed that. While I see that in raiding environments it is not the best, I feel in 5-mans it is viable.
What you are saying is completely wrong, and works the opposite way. Autumn leaves is great in a raid environment, because you will often wont have more hots on atleast a couple targets, only rejuvenation. In a dungeon setting, where ppl actually taking damage(so not your example of a single rejuv topping the person up) you will have atleast 2 hots on the target making autumn leaves pretty much useless. (Wild growth or regrowth)If you still dont get it, you can ask Voulk and the other experts yourself on the Dreamgrove discord.
I'm finding resto druid much less engaging to play now. Prepping with the shorter rejuv times seems much less rewarding, the timing of wild growth is much less impactful and playing my disc alt gives me a much (much, much) biggers throughput cd every 1 minute 18 seconds than tranq has come close to delivering. And I can move on that toon.We feel so much weaker than the holy/disc option now, and with hpala and rshammy just being mandatory utility classes, we are left to compete in the hopes of picking up the 4th raid spot. And we're likely behind hpala and disc for m+...To say our niche is healing on the move when our main throughput cast is no longer castable on the move and our rejuvs are shorter just makes us feel like we don't bring anything unique to the table. Oh wait; we are the only healer that can ress now (yaya) but its a cast time. And divine hymn wasn't a cast/move ability (oh give them salvation and a raid wide mana regen ability)...
What about soul of the archdruid legendary? Would it be worth keeping when moving to bfa gear just for the extra talent?
leggo's will only be active til lvl 115
I try to figure out this thing: if I lvling as dps and go into a dungeon, I switch talent obviously. The question is:Do I have to change the traits and pay the gold every single time I heal the raid?If that's the case we will be super short on healers as price goes up after every trait change.....
I've mained resto druid for years, and whilst I dont consider myself to be that a top 100 player or anything, I have managed to get CE this last tier BUT.....I was in Beta testing raid on Friday night with my guildies and OMG, I've NEVER been so demoralised as I was on Friday....I was consistently bottom of the meters in a group of 2 holy Priests and a MW monk......by a VERY long way.Ok I dont mind being bottom tbh.....it happens, but I was shocked by the sheer amount of HPS I was down ...... Despite talent changes etc etc I was down anything between 25-50% of raw healing compared to the top guy .....Changing play styles etc is the least of the problems imo ....I can live with that but will my Raid Leader accept such low throughput ? ......
Magno - In the situation you describe, Blizzard seems to envision that you will carry 2 pieces of gear for each Azertite trait slot. One with the DPS trait selected and one with the healing trait selected. The alternative, as you mentioned, is to pay to swap the traits on a single piece of gear. The price does go up with each use, but will decrease as well after a period of non-use.

Would be cool if spells had different appearances for the different races casting them. druid forms are basically that. but would be cool to have regrowth look how it does for say night elves and tauren since they follow the similar path for druidism, and maybe a kyl'tiran has a more tangled/witchy looking regrowth (I don't know about kul'tiran class lore yet, but am looking forward to learning about it.) and zandalari regrowth could be jungley in appearance or have south american flute sound effects. not sure if any of this makes sense. might be challenging to do for every spell for every race but probably very appreciated.
Resto druid went from a fun spec with many playstyles to a dull %^&*pile, especially in pvp.
Am I the only person who misses the Healing Touch mechanic with the old Abundance talent? Coupled with Germination, you could lower the Healing Touch cast time by 100% in a 5-man group let alone in a raid. Being able to spam instant Healing Touch's was so much more satisfying that spamming Regrowth which just feels so slow and not beefy enough of a heal for those "Oh #!$%" moments.
