The Gavel of Naaru Blessings had to be my most Epic, with how little I got to play during that time and how many badges it cost, I finally got mine and was just as happy as I could be.
The most epic drop for me was a few nights ago. I was running ramps for the first time on my DK. Hellreaver dropped. My friend had run ramps 20 times trying to get it to drop for his DK and never got it. I just happen to get it on my first time through. And I didnt even need it because I had just bought Blade of Misfortune. So to sum things up, I ran ramps for the first time, got hellreaver, and didnt need it anymore while my friend never got it after running ramps 20 times.

Last week a friend and I went through Halls of Lightening with a deathknight, warlock and another paladin. We cleared 99% of the instance fine, but then came the final fight against Loken. Our group got him down 90% of the way when we all started to die. Loken had 20,00 HP when it was just a protection paladin and a deathknight against him. At 5,000 HP the paladin died and it was Loken versus the deathknight. There were no heals avaliable and the deathknight managed to bring Loken down the final 5,000 HP before Loken was able to hit him and take his final 89 HP. We won and it was epic.
Up until very recently, I'd have said the Bindings of the Windseeker (Geddon) were the most epic piece of loot I'd ever received, but after an eternity of waiting for the other binding to drop, and never really expecting to see it, Bindings of the Windseeker (Garr) finally showed itself. So now, finally, after years have passed, I can say that the most epic loot I've ever received is in fact, not epic, but legendary. All hail Thunderfury!
I'm going to tell you a tale of a time long, long ago...well, a few years, but still, it feels long.My most epic loot drop ever was the Staff of Dominance from Golemagg in Molten Core. But first...a little backstory.I was one of the more under-geared mages in the guild - I still had the staff from ZF at the time. But every night, before the raid began, I would look through atlas loot, thinking to myself "I will get that Staff of Dominance, and I won't spend any DKP before I do."More than a few raids had gone by, and I had no luck so far. I had DKP accumulated to the point beyond anyone else in the guild. But I stuck to my word - I passed on everything - Arcanist, various rings and necklaces, even an Azuresong Mageblade all went to the other players. It was yet another night raiding Molten Core, and I figured, "enough is enough, if Golemagg doesn't drop my staff, I'm taking every bit of loot that I can get." So my guild clears MC - nothing particularly interesting happens. We get to Golemagg, and kill him...silence. My guildmaster didn't say a word...all I saw, in the chat box, was...You receive loot: .
During the Zombie Invasion event, so many people were getting upset about the NPCs in the Auction House and Bank getting zombified that I decided I'd spend a little time on my Priest casting Abolish Disease on the people trying to infect them. I planned on doing it for a few minutes, but I ended up having people cheering me on, whispering me on where infected people were hiding and so on that I ended up doing nothing but playing Disease Buster In Chief for about an hour. I had fun, got a good share of praise (and jeers), but it was all worth it for the guy who came up and tipped me 500g for keeping Stormwind plague free for an hour!
My most epic drop ever has to be the Swift White Hawkstrider. It dropped for my group on what I think was the second day that the instance was available. My luck with rolls hasn't been the greatest, so I was as shocked as the rest of the group when I won. I was so thrilled with how well it matched my priest's Tier 5 set. I know it's not the rarest mount out there, but for me, it will always hold a special place on my action bars.
