>.> <.< >.> I'm here from the future to tell you I didn't win. >.> <.< >.> But if I did, this would be my most epic lootz.
For me, it would have to be when I got Gorehowl on my first Prince down back when Karazhan meant something, and I was the only melee DPS who could equip it, I then asked my priest friend to marry me to the axe, which took place in Scarlet Monastery, and now she is with me at all times, now and forever.
For someone who raided only on occasion in the Burning Crusade, getting the Legacy axe was especially sweet for me. I'd been seeing mostly blue on my character until that point, being a fairly casual player, so when I saw those bright purple letters and the words "All yours!" that was a pretty cool moment....gonna be awesome when I replace it with my tiny green northrend quest reward...
I started the RAF program right when it came out. I got a second account and leveled 2 toons up with the help of a friend. As leveling up went on my main years ago shortly after release. Running through ST I always wanted a Dragon's Call. Never got it. As I leveled my RAF toons (Mage and Lock) on the first run I had a Dragon's Call drop and took it on my Lock. The very next run it dropped again and I took it on my Mage.
My most EPIC loot drop was winning the Ancient Petrified Leaf against one other hunter in the guild; the raid leader. Now, the Leaf isn't that particularly great, it's just a leaf. However, the raid leader was one of the worst people in the game. Everyone has met this person before. The total jerk who boots people from groups for not having X amount of health or DPS or healing, etc. The guy who says "LFG Kara, must have T6+".Besides getting into the past, the way that particular guild did loot was modified rolling. High attendance and contributors got like "/roll 30-100" or something similar. So he got to roll, something like 40-100, while I had a pitiful 10-100. Not a large difference, but it still could make or break the roll. (Anything lower than a 40 is an instant win for him)Now I don't remember the EXACT rolls, but it was 80~ish. The only detail I truly remember is there being an exact 10 difference between the rolls. (65-75, I believe)Ventrilo was in an uproar and the raid leader was PO'd beyond comprehension. (Literally, no one could understand his yelling on Vent) Took me awhile to get Mature Black Dragon Sinew afterwards since I was always somehow "not raid priority".Still, it was extremely satisfying acquiring Rhok'delar, Longbow of the Ancient Keepers before he did, AND legitimately. (Old hunters will remember you could use certain exploits/tricks to make encounters easier as well as letting someone more experienced do it on your account)
My Epic moment was in truth my partners, only days before the release of the 3.0 patch she finally managed to succeed in her goal of defeating Gruul (even tho she'd been TK & SSC several times), hehe. But I was there and shared in the moment of her hapy success.
