Linen clothMade me feel warm afterwards ;)
For me the most epic moment and drop at the same time was when Baron Geddon finally droped the left half of Bindings of the Windseeker. As i have been waiting for it for months. 3 days later my guild and i went to silithus to get the sword :)
The one thing that made my mage's life complete back in TBC Blade of Twisted Visions and I still use it to this day :)Pretty much my guild was doing a scheduled run for ZA, and most of the dps casters were going on about how they wanted the sword or the hood of hexing to drop today. Anyway the odds were against me getting any of those because our group had 2 mages (including me) and 2 warlocks as well as our 2 tanks and 2 healers and 2 melee dps (rogue and enh shammy)All were set on getting the sword or the hood. All four avatars were downed, and hexlord was being a pain in the backside. We looked like we were going to wipe before somehow we managed to down him when heroism got popped :X but to our delight nothing dropped for the casters. So pretty much everyone was thinking the sword was going to drop. I've never wanted to kill a boss so badly before and this was no exception as that sword was a really good upgrade from S1 staff. Time for Zul'Jin and pretty much it was a smooth fight, bar the horrible bear form that managed to kill me :(. But I had faith in my guild and they managed to defeat him without me ^^ also I got the achievement for ZA D:Now came the moment of truth, no one was allowed to loot until i was ressed, but i said check what dropped and I was over the moon, THE SWORD DROPPED :D! and everyone was like "OMG I WANT" so then started the rolling. I closed my eyes and typed /roll and hoped i would get highest. To my surprise i rolled a 94 and someone else managed to roll the same. :| so we ended up rolling again and the warlock who drew with me rolled a 97 and there i thought "there's no hope for me" but i rolled anyway and i closed my eyes and rolled again and I heard alot of well done's over ventrilo so i opened my eyes and saw a lovely shiny 99 and the sword happily popped into my bag :D I was so happy, and being an enchanter i put the +40 spell damage enchant on it without haste. The warlock whispered me "congrats, but next time I will get the better loot"
The most epic fight I've ever had was in Blackrock Depths. This was way back in the day in Vanilla WoW where T0 sets were still pretty high end. Anyways, it was just me and my good friend Fallonn. We were working on our Onyxia key quest chain, and we needed to talk to Marshal Windsor. Well, we didn't know we needed the key from High Interrogator Gerstahn. When we realized this, we sized up our challenge. 5 or 6 elite mobs + a couple of non-elite dogs at the least, against a 60 hunter, and a 60 paladin in pretty weak gear. At first, we didn't think we could do it, but we decided to give it a shot anyways. So we pull, and we start off ok, but things quickly start to get out of hand. Fallonn pulls a mob out and traps it, meanwhile, me and his pet are dealing with the multitude of other mobs, trying to bring them down as fast we can. Me, Fallonn, and his pet start going down pretty hard under the beating we're receiving at the hands of these elites. At this point, I'm doing my best to keep Fallonn and his pet up, as well as myself, and I'm spamming heals, quickly running out of mana. Just as I'm about to fall, I pop my Divine Shield, chug a mana pot, and bring Fallonn back up the best I can under the new aggro he now has, but he and his pet are taking a crazy beating. His pet falls at this point, and I'm spent with my mana potions on cooldown. Fallonn then feigns death, and drops aggro back to me. He immediately is back up blasting down the last couple of mobs the best he can, but now it's my turn to take a beating. I'm about to go down, and I pull out my last trick, and burn my Lay of Hands to bring myself back up, and we finish off the pull, both of us out of mana, and both of us easily under 10%hp. We collect our Prison Key, and then it's off to Windsor. That key is easily one of the most epic drops I've ever had the pleasure to see drop.To this day, that fight stands out as one of the most challenging battles I've ever experienced in WoW. It was genuinely challenging beyond belief, and all me and Fallonn could do was sit back and wonder to ourselves how we manged this pull, just the two of us, and walk out alive. It took us both everything our characters had to offer, as well as what we had to offer as players and as a team, but we still managed it. It's one of the few memories I don't think I'll ever forget about my time spent in WoW.
This was a difficult question - just due to the fun of getting the item, would have to say the Defender of the Timbermaw trinket. Not nearly as "good" as some listed, but, for me, it is pretty awesome.=)Nikk
the most epic loot for me ,was the in Hellfire Ramparts ,when we kill the boss and the chest was spawned and the loot was Hellreaver.
I love purples, this game is all about the purples. So i absolutely needed the purple bird http://www.cuckhead.com/?item=8494 Took me many many months of killing those dirty pirates and finally i had it drop. Now i am complete.
I remember the days long time ago, bre TBC when i played my druid "taurondruid" now changed name to drakand. I was with my guild >Danish henchmen" we tryed to kill Onyxia like 6 or 7 times and we got her down. and every 1 on ventrilo went like crazy and yelled YES, WOOOHOOO and we were so happy... that was my most epic battle ever, and lucky me got my T2 head. :D
My most epic drop for me would have to be the Swift White Hawkstrider out of Heroic Magisters Terrace. It's still to this day my favorite mount!
i remember back in the beginning of Tbc in kara wen i got my trinket from opra R&J i think that was one of my most epic loot
