So is this saying that a weapon that drops from a +15 at 210 requires to be upgraded 3 times to get to 220 costing 3000 valor, which will take 2 weeks at full cap to achieve? Or can we farm 1000, spend it then farm another 1000 then spend it and then again all in one week? This feels a bit much considering we've also got to get the item to drop in the first place.Dont know how to feel about this.
So potentially it will take a whole patch to upgrade just 1 item slot.. that won't go live. Also, really don't like the idea that it's a capped currency.
These values are scuffed. Blizzard making it take twice as long still to upgrade items from the m+ list than it does the pvp vendor simply because you dont need conquest to upgrade pvp gear but you need valor to upgrade m+ gear.
Do items from the Great Vault M+ row come as upgradeable or they are excluded from the valor upgrade system?
please add 226 ilvl
Not going to panic yet because this is all speculation but these numbers are depressing as hell. Hopefully just placeholder numbers.
pog
This is speculation so would be good to know the actual numbers before people start panicking
Not everyone can time 15s and when they can the gear isnt worth it to upgrade. Get rid of the gear upgrade requirment or keep it and kill M+ for the casual players. Since casual players dont make much of the player base. Sacracam ... lol
What about trinkets?
that's actually outrageous to upgrade anything...3ilvl? really? so the weekly cap is 750, and to upgrade a 2h weapon you are timegated to 3ilvl every 2 weeks, and then on the 7th week you are stuck with an extra week to wait to upgrade again if my math is right (probably isn't)I would not mind it so much if it was 6ilvl per upgrade, but 3ilvl is FAR too low. Just cut that x/12 in half like on pvp gear to x/6 and I feel that would solve the issue.
I really wonder if someone in desitionmaking in Blizz is currently TRYING to break the game. Are they paid by some other company to break it? What is going on at Blizzard?
Maybe people will have time to upgrade 1-2 items before the next patch, what a joke.
I know these are currently placeholder values, and everything can change before going live (in 2-6 weeks...), but dayum... this is horrible if this goes live!I get that the pvp upgrade system does a similar thing, but it does so with an uncapped currency (honor, not conq). The values look kinda similar to the first and 2nd rank upgrades too... so it's possible they've just copy/pasta'd that system as a framework to work from. I would be surprised if all ranks (especially higher ones) cost the same though, that doesn't make much sense to me
From reading the patch notes: "Gear acquired from Mythic Keystone dungeons are now upgradable with Valor, a new currency that is earned from completing Mythic Keystone dungeons and covenant Callings. There is a maximum amount of Valor that can be earned each week and gear that dropped before the patch are unable to be upgraded.- 200 Item Level: Initial item upgrade level.- 207 Item Level: Requires the Keystone Explorer achievement – Earned by completing all eight Shadowlands dungeons at Mythic 5 or higher, within the time limit.- 213 Item Level: Requires the Shadowlands Keystone Conqueror achievement – Earned by completing all Shadowlands dungeons at Mythic 10 or higher, within the time limit.- 220 Item Level: Requires the Shadowlands Keystone Master achievement – Earned by completing all Shadowlands dungeons at Mythic 15 or higher, within the time limit."It looks like the upgrade path is the same as the PvP gear (except the 226 and 233 brackets). My guess is that the ranks are displayed here because the gear can drop at those iLvLs from some m+ lvls. From the text above, the base upgrade level is 200, so I don't see how we would have to upgrade from let's say 194 to 197.So an item dropping at 210 would need to be upgraded 2 times, but so would an item dropping at 207. But a 216 from a +8 cache would only need to be upgraded once.
Trash system is trash.Do PvPers have to spend conquest on each rank? No. Do raiders have to farm a currency to get good iLevel gear? No. Then why are M+ players subject to both? What is this crap.
