Nice. New patch zones and dailies, achievements, mounts, and catch up gear for alts is my jam. I recently realized how much I loved Mechagon and Zereth Mortis so I hope they don't break tradition. Looking forward to some new stuff. Also can't wait to see where the story goes and what the new raid sets will look like.
At this pace i'm not sure if 10.2 will release in 2023, if it does it will probably be in december.
Nice!
10.1 ooooh we are getting closer.... closer to Tentacles!
Somehow I still remember TBC / LK etc. expansions where even a whole year was not enough to explore everything. Just in BC at the lunch there were 5 (!) raid instances and 16 (!) dungeons! Now we have 1 raid and 4 (!) dungeons. Just looking back on the news feed on wowhead every 2nd post is about a new cosmetic/transmog/pet/mounts. Not a single news about a new instance or raid. Oh yeah we get a new quest in the next patch! How I see DF that they simply never finished it before the release (explains all the bugs ingame at lunch) and now its just left alone. I had more fun recently going back to old zones doing some achies. My sub ended 2 days ago and i wont renew it. If you like it im so happy about it but for me its just a now world of cosmetics..
For me Legion patch cycle and raid releases worked perfectly and kept me interested in the game. I had every day something to do. Hell, it was the only expansion I had 3 characters that I kept gearing simultaneously and despite the legendary issues it is the expansion I enjoyed the most from story perspective and gameplay. Compared to BFA, SL & DF I barely care to keep one character because it is just not enough content. BFA introduced a story I did not enjoy, introduced a system I did not enjoy, it introduced an instanced content that I did not enjoy and because I did not enjoy it made having alts even more annoying and it is the expansion I got closest to getting Cutting Edge. I should remember BFA because of it but no....it was just a pile of garbage. SL comes and the story was so bad that I couldnt even enjoy the gameplay then it proceeded to spit in the face of the expansion I enjoyed the most: Legion and released feces all over Arthas & the LK. On top of it you have the Covenants. DF comes and.....it is alright, just not enough content. It does not have a story I care about as much as I try. It feels like it has no soul like Vanilla (which had no clear plot. We were spawned and had multiple issues we visited and dealt with no streamlined story), TBC, WoTLK, Cataclysm, MoP, WoD and Legion. In DF the dragons that did something are Kalecgos and the daughter of Ysera. The Queen of dragons says it is none of the business what her fellow dragons does....who even wrote that ? I felt like a fork was scratching the surface of a blackboard when I've read that. You are the queen you dummy target. Even a mosquito I bet can defeat you and kill you. The least you can do is to hold the Lieutenant of Deathwing accountable and let Wrathion lead and tutor him. Nozdormu is a useless piece of scales. Even Velen is better than him. Velen atleast knew it happens but did not conclude that the actions he is part of will lead to his vision at that moment. Nozdormu cant even see that he was supposedly a more powerful being blessed by Amanthul. I mean WTF?. After the fact: "Oh noes, Oh yeah, so this was supposed to happen NOW I remember!". Much power, such useful Aspect.Let's talk about DF gameplay. The raid is fine and challenging but then you have the worst mistake they made. They increased the key level cap at which you get the best gear and made it harder to achieve that not because of the difficulty that got increased because the same pool has been spread across 20 lvls. There are key lvls were you wait an hour or more to get a group. Particulary 10 to 15. You get pretty quick at 16 then it dies again at 18-19 and wait close to 1hr sometimes more for the same period of the day I did in SL, BFA & Legion.Tl;dr: Too little content. DF story is bland. Legion for all its fault was the ideal amount of content and patch cycle for me.
