I don't think it's a perfect system, but I do like they make older content relevant.Problem I have with WoW (and some other MMOs) is that most content are just abandoned when the new expansion releases.Still having older content being relevant is a good thing. But that said I do think they should have all 8 expansions for mythic+ together with some older dungeons. and for people saying "ONLY 4 DUNGEONS?" there will be at least 8. the 4 dungeons is just what will be used in the mythic+ seasons.
Sigh... stop putting arbitrary rotations and limits into the game and just give us acces to as much content as possible instead of this seasonally split nonsense.Having acces to a large number of dungeons at once will do infinitly more for the replayability of M+ than arbitrarily splitting them up into small sets per seasons.Don't get me wrong, making old content relevant is great. But why not just give us acces to all 12 dungeons? And then introduce some more old dungeons to M+ later in the expansion.
awful decision, stop slacking and make new dungeonsyou can bring the older dungeons back in TW for nostalgia but not like this
This is insanely stupid. Only m+ matters, who cares if I can do all 8 dungeons on normal? Also 8 dungeons is not enough, it has to be at least 10 on launch with up to 14 by the end of the expansion. Doing the same 8 dungeons in Shadowlands for year and a half has been absolute ^&*! and instead of adding more content in a new expansion they are actually cutting in half the amount of new content? Absolutely mental
Hope it never happens give us all the New Dungeons not the old #$%^ and a few new come on
They probably realized they sit on a goldmine of repeatable, infinite content with old dungeons of expansions past (and now raids too) so why release new stuff? Having to do De Other Side on new expansion release is something not many will enjoy.
So this actually translates as "half the dungeons in this expansion will just be recycled ones from old expansions"? Wow. Why aren't all dungeons available in mythic mode, anyway? There's already the perfect "lore justification" for that in the game (Caverns of Time). Some of the most iconic and challenging dungeons (ex., Halls of Reflection) are basically inaccessible nowadays, due to level restrictions (and they're not even available in TW because, for some reason, TW just makes people repeat the same 5 dungeons over and over, even when the expansion had twice as many).Up to WotLK, Blizzard sort of understood that the "World" part of "World of Warcraft" was its biggest asset. Since then, it seems they just try to concentrate players into progressively smaller bubbles (maybe to create the illusion that there's a bigger player base?).
This seems to be make the right people angry, I approve. Also, people seem to think that some older dungeons that weren't originally meant for it can't be repurposed. We might M+ experiences that we haven't had before, even if they aren't completely new dungeons. The "only M+ is important" people are killing the game faster than bobby k ever could.
Please 8 dungeons from start + 2-4 old dungeons per season would be great!
first season should have only new dungeons and not limit us to 4 new and 4 old dungeons we have already been running, I would fully expect this to be changed because they are only doing this to try to stretch out MAU for the patch that follows the launch patch just incase launch tanks the game like it did in SL. Glad to hear no SL dungeons will be in it though, most of them are junk.
8 dungeons total is NOT enough.
