Interesting in concept, but unless we see and experience how it feels I doubt it will feel very nice to use in practice. With the sheer speed that dragonflying often goes to, I doubt there will be enough control to skim along the ground to make much use out of the skill unless it specifically prevents you from touching the ground as you use it.
Closer and closer to how to train your dragon
would be super nice if we could get (slow) flying back for those of us w motor issues instead of throwing more inaccessible trick riding you have to struggle with just to keep up.
PogU!
Wake me up please when they FINALLY have Hover ability without losing your charges and eventually falling down like an idiot because apparently Dragons have suddenly forgotten how to stay in the air for longer period of time than few secs. 🤪 ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I want a dragon riding ability: Break - slows you down. It'd just be really useful every now and then.Bonus points if hitting the ground too fast hurts you, after this ability comes out.
I would like to have the option to also use regular flying around the dragon isles. Just like it is, not faster or anything and with hovering.
Neat, I do slow flying enough just as I am gathering that I would like to see how useful this will be. Maybe not a big thing but still curious. Also gives me hope for a hover button eventually.
Someone’s been playing Hogwarts Legacy I see, where flying close to the ground gives you unlimited boost
As someone who routinely camps rares and AFKs while playing other games until something of note happens, I don't understand why so many people consider a lack of 'hovering' a dealbreaker.Dragonriding is so fast and there are so many vertical safe spots around the isles that I've never run into a single instance camping multiple rares or going AFK during any world quest where I thought "man, I wish I could hover". You can even land on tree branches pretty easily. Or the rings of the Azure Span trees. Or in water. I even waited for a group to help kill a rare in the Nokhudon elite area by sitting on top of the hut it was walking in and out of. And no matter how many dozens of yards you need to go to find that safe spot, you can be right back where you need to be within like five seconds.Of all the complaints about dragonriding this is the most baffling to me, and I was someone who spent hours a week in Shadowlands hovering in front of General Zarathura's spawn point or the random ZM sand rare.
A noticeable amount of my guildies haven't been having that much fun this expansion because they don't have the motor skills, due to age, to use Dragonflying. When is Blizzard going to turn on regular flying for those with motorskill issues?=
