It's the last day of Tyrannical and Blizzard has nerfed the final boss of Neltharion's Lair! This was probably the hardest remaining boss in Mythic+ if you didn't use the best strat.

First boss does way too much damage on a +18 and spawns an ad like 3 seconds before smashing. Not killing said ad is a wipe.
The add spawns are controlled though. Just make sure monkey dps stop hitting the boss leading up to the shatter.......
You can't expect people to understand and execute mechanics using their brain in this game. It should always only require face -> keyboard -> loot.
Rather than being smug with vague words, it would be more helpful to actually explain.

Adds gonna keep spawning throughout the fight unless you want to do zero dps to him... Stop hitting him during that AoE window helps with adds but only a little, not to mention that's still a significant dps loss on the boss when you consider the frequency of AoE and simply positioning the boss better and handling the adds which as usual comes down to being a good>better>great tank.

Very hard boss, but I don't know if the hardest. Forgemaster and Mammoth in Neltharus are still gigantic hps checks. Halls of Infusion 1st and penultimate boss are big hps checks, too
not the hardest by farm, basicaly every boss of halls of infusion is harder than him, 1 and last boss of brackenhide too, 2 and last from pinacle etc, the thing is if you know how to do this boss (dargrul) you can pretty much negate 90% of his dmg

The hardest boss to heal right now is the 3rd one in VoI.
I still can't figure out what is ''Vol''. You mean VP (Vortex Pinnacle)?

How'd you tell the right time to stop hitting, is it controlled by the overall percentage? I feel it is difficult for some classes with cleave dmg if they'd want to hit the skitters but ending up generating a new one.
You want to get them low before the shatter and then finish them off as shatter is being cast. Ideally, they are dead when the cast goes off. At worst, they have less than 5% hp left and aren't boosting the damage of shatter by much. If you kill them too soon, new adds will spawn to replace them.
The entire dungeon favors an ability to do priority damage, whether via funneling or running a ST build if a spec doesn't really funnel well. Each boss has adds that need to be focused and potentially nuked, and just about every pack has a mob that should be the absolute #1 priority with passive cleave that most ST specs have being enough to manage the rest of the mobs. There's only two pulls (or three if you pull the hulk at the beginning) where big AoE is useful.
By the way, kiting still works on the pelters like many Legion casters that need to stop within a certain range of their highest threat enemy to use abilities on other players.
