Holy hell. That was amazing. Ofcourse, the short raises a ton of questions.WHY was Uther's soul so fractured as when Devos first saw his wounds? What about Saurfang Jr? King Terenas? Other notables who died at the hands of Arthas as the bearer of Frostmourne? Is Uther's soul split between what was sucked into the sword and what passed into the Shadowlands? Because there is such a big disconnect here between the Uther we saw at the end of the Shadowmourne legendary questline and the Uther who was sent to Bastion. Is Uther going to have his soul reforged and will he return with us to Azeroth? Dammit, I have so many questions.
That was epic!
I don't know why but I am not impressed. Some additional lore is good, but overall not so excited as other similar content.Does anyone feel the same?
Wait, is this retconning? How did Uther escape Frostmourne before Arthas's death? How did the appear to Jaina and Sylvannas in the Citadel? How does this make sense?
Haha ! I knew it. Arthas shouldn't have gone to the maw. He was manipulated and corrupted, something he could have repented for. I'm pretty sure he should have joined the Kyrian, or perhaps Maldraxxus.I'm going to enjoy saving Matthias Lehner.
Arthas part of the Jailer final boss fight, calling it now.
Justice for fallen Lordaeron!
Are they implying that Arthas didn't belong in the Maw? I'm confused.
The Light has struck a bargain with the enemy of allThe light let the Legion get ahold of frostmourne because they would be too blinded by the monumental task of clearing the mortal realm of life. Demons are inherently aware of the power of souls and use every soul to fuel the war. Frostmourne appears to drain the souls of mortals, but in reality it splits them. If a mortal accepted the light, the blade would cleave away what was base anima and not take any light.. because it is diametrically opposed. So what is left of the soul, which isn't anima but light, gets sent to the shadowlands where it starves AND breaks the system. Sugar in a gas tank if you will. The void, I THINK, being the progenitors of existence could care less about the shadowlands and more about the jailor who possibly wants to destroy everything. The void values reality and mortals because they represent another choice, a differing path, an infinity of possibilities and a continuation of reality. The shadowlands itself might be a recycling center where souls get cleaned up and reborn or reincarnated which would perpetuate the cycle of life and death. The light only sees Judgement: be saved or be damned. It cares not for balance and neither does the jailor, but the light is blind to what the Jailor wants and can only see this as the "true" path. Uther is poison to the shadowlands until his soul is fully restored and he rejects the light in favor for the seemingly eternal cycle of the shadowlands.
No one deserves that, you shouldn't answer cruelty with more cruelty, that makes you as bad as the person you're punishing. And wasn't that something Uther tried to teach him when dealing with the orcs?Amazing video though, really epic.
The idea that perhaps Arthas should have gone to Ravendreth instead, and the angst and agony that could cause certain sylvanas and horde fanboys, fills me with joy and anticipation.
Sick!
This is quite interesting. I already wanted to go to Bastion but this cemented it. The actions taken by Devos and Uther are not good. Arthas did not deserve the Maw, he should have been sent to Revendreth to repent for this actions as a mortal. I look forward to the rest and the story of Uther going forward because after reading up. I am excited what will happen after the first part in his chapter.
