LFR: Tanks hold aggro, dps kill, and healers heal, done!
This post was from a user who has deleted their account.
Honestly, I did LFR as a dps (cat) today and there was nothing in the way of mechanisms. In fact, even the tanks had basically nothing except a few taunt swaps. The only mechanism that mattered at all for the entire thing was the tank-swap on Guardians. Everything else was just ´ do not stand in crap´..The mechanisms that I was worried about for LFR-PUG were either removed completely or watered down to the point of not mattering.Someone had pointed out that many of their guildmates who didn´t raid and weren´t really active players were not able to make the ilvl check... so it could be that today it was mostly people who had done the raid last week. But neither of our tanks had done it before (either the real version or on beta) and we were able to explain it fine.
Hehe. LFR is certainly interesting. I think it's time to work on some tips and tricks for it.
i love this raid, really cool bosses and not to easy (at least outside lfs) !
Yep. My guild had a hell of a time on Feng. It was discouraging to see how easily he went down on LFR. ;o
Glad to see how it is done. My guild is nowhere near ready to do this content, but when we are it is nice to have this resource available to me.
in another dif is same :)
This content in LFR was a cake walk. Mechanics were non-existent. You didn't have to cycle healer cooldowns because the aoe spells did next to no damage. you didn't have to move immediately because the ^&*! on the ground didn't kill you. Finally, on guards you DEFINITELY didn't care if 2x explosions went off at the same time. On Normal mode there has to be coordination and understanding of the fights. In LFR I couldn't say it better myself. Tanks tank, healers heal and dps does dps.
On my run through it this week the other tank and most of the raid ignored just about everything. No swaps on Stone Guardians, no swaps on Feng (I had four stacks of one debuff and three of another after a transition) and we still killed each fight with only one pull.On Stone Guardians we only had 14 DPS, on Feng we were missing a few and we had a full group on Gara'jal. It is quick and easy, and definitely a departure from the first few weeks of LFR Dragon Soul.
Tbh, why even bother complaining about the difficulty of LFR, it's just there so that people can get through the raid easy on a casual basis. The gear you get in there isn't even comparable to the gear from normal mode and also if you want the fights to be hard and challenging then you can go do the raids on normal mode instead. It seems pointless to me to be disappointed about how easy doing LFR was, when you have already done some of the raid on normal.
