A welcome QOL addition, to be sure. I deal with serious vertigo, and those chains... oof. It wasn't a good time. At least this way I can do the areas with chains without getting the epic motion sickness.

A good addition to the game. But Mort'regar still needs more tuning. The mobs are ridiculous healthsponges that gangs up on you in too small platforms. And some can even teleport to you.Would be much less obnoxious if the numbers of them was lowered a bit.

Tendency to fall off the chains was not accidental. There are points where it's designed to purposely knock you off, which was complete B.S. I had stopped crossing them on floor 3.
One question: does it resets the summoned hunter/warlock pet? I mean, do we need to summon our pets again after using it?
If anything this is probably to prevent you from "softlocking" yourself if you have the anima power that prevents you from jumping. I know in the rest area of Mort'regar(?) that has the spiral with 3 souls across chains on the way up you can get ACROSS just fine without jumping, but on the other end the chain is above the ground meaning you have to die or hope you are playing hunter/warlock to get BACK.
Or, people are sadly not as good at running up the chains, and it is a nice little bonus to unlock for them?
This is good, no falling off the chain because there was a hidden pit fall.
I am mortally terrified of heights, and some of the levels of Torghast already were incredibly difficult because of this -- the chains were a complete defeat for me. I've never given up on a Torghast run except once -- I'd managed to get across the chain (a harrowing experience, good lord), but after dying to a tiny platform with 5 elite uninterruptable mobs on it just before the floor boss and getting booted back to the start of the floor, that was it. I was not going through that again for a paltry handful of ash, lol. This upgrade will make it so I can actually functionally complete this stuff!
Considering it's so difficult to just walk back onto the chains, and "but you can no longer jump." is a power... this is more of a mandatory correction to their own design.
The problem is that you get knocked back a little and change directions when your character's box collide with the chain's box.
I'm appalled they'd rather go with adding teleports, rather than fixing the idiotically broken hitboxes and collisions effects on the chains.It's not going to change much for me though - anything affecting speed or mobility is still pontless garbage and waste of choice of power, and going up a chain you don't need to traverse to complete a floor is still pointless waste of time.My default mode is just grab 4 guildies/pugs and destroy layer 8 as fast as possible, running Torghast is a boring chore and has zero appeal even when there are legendaries you could craft.
