"a haven for creators who want an environment that is development friendly, values product, and player experience over short-term financial pressures."Is this a dig at blizzard? Ha.
lets see if he abandons this company as well
So if Mike Morhaime left 2 years ago..Why is this "Blizzard news"?
Excited for what the future holds regarding this.
Absolutely thrilling news. So much of what we used to love about WoW comes directly from him being out from under the thumb of Activision. Really excited to see what they do in the future!
Amazing news good luck to Mike Morhaime I will follow this new company's development and wish them well, I believe in Mike he can create amazing things. Hoping they will do mmorg or rpg.It would be fantastic if all the old good Blizzard Team will come together , who knows what the can create after so much experienceand love they shared for games and fantasy
Hopefully they actually put something out. It's all well and good to be "values driven" but there also has to be someone who is looking at the practical side of things, like actually producing a product to sell.
I'm sure these studios will last just as long as Flagship and Carbine did.
I wonder if Brode and his Second Dinner can be brought in.
I'm torn between hype because of this guy's legacy and the reality of how many old industry dudes taking their 2nd shot at video game fame have actually delivered on any of their promises.
Please don't do indie games...
Imagine fishing up so bad that your founder leaves the company to start over. (Please use this Tali).
I'll reserve judgement until I see what they're putting out. But wish them all the best of luck and hope they can recapture some of what was lost in their new endeavours.
Have any of you negative posters even considered the more than likely fact, that 90-100% of blizzard employees are actually upset that mike stepped down? People keep leaving blizzard due to activision's bull#$%^. Honestly I figure it's only a matter of time before they all leave completely and wow dies as a result. I am excited to see what they come up with, but in the off chance that they don't have a playable mmo for the next 4-5 years, I will likely switch to ashes of creation when it's finally released. WoW is losing its draw, newer games with better premise and graphics are continuously being released. I say good luck to mike and his team.
So... a guy that had sold Blizzard to Activision is making a new company... to be honest I have no hopes for them, looking at what Morhaime did to Blizzard.
