Let every race be every class? KEKW
They definitely should expand the number of races available for Shaman for the Alliance side.
Eyyy, this is a good step in the right direction.
tauren rogues and orc priests, oh god...
More druids! I want ALL the druids.
While it seems cool that Blizzard is giving in on a lot of things recently.. I'm going to sit in my corner with my Doubt hat on that they're going to be able to deliver on everything they've promised thus far.. and in a way that isn't going to be riddled with bugs beyond belief.
Vulpera druid please!
RMP favoritism SMH. /sthis is cool tho, hope this comes with orc hardiness nerfs so we don't see the only undead representation left in PvP disappear.
GOBLINS MONKS! Maybe my dream come true.
Makes sense. Most races can be most classes in lore. We've even had undead paladins since the getgo. We've seen hooved creatures stealth. Like people can believe that a bullman can shoot lightning out of his fingers but they can't sneak even magically? This is really going to upset the 10% of Wowhead commenters who tend to get upset about most things. Do it dnd style. Every race can be every class. If it doesn't make sense for lore, then write a single paragraph in cannon about it making sense. :p:: It was Doctor Jinksi Cogsberry who first dedicated her life to the scientific method. She pleged an Oath of Understanding light particles and how it's magic has been utilized, for good or ill, throughout the cosmos for ages unending. In her studies she emulated dwarven paladins and in doing so, became a vessel of the Light herself. While she didn't dedicate herself to any religious tenets, she did come to a simple understanding. The Light can be wielded by those with a high willpower and affinity for magic so long as their belief in their capability to wield the Light persists. If Subject A truly believes that eating a muffin for breakfast allows them to harness light magic, their muffin philosphy only bolsters or hinders their own application. If they forget to eat a muffin and thus believe themselves no longer worthy of wielding the Muffin's Light, then they lose said abilities. As a practitioner of science and magic, Jinksi was able to channel the divine magicks into herself just as well as any Draenei or Blood Elf. Her belief that the Light could be fashioned into a sword or shield through logic and philosophy was strong enough to earn the ability to wield the magic. And thus, too, did she come to understand the strength of belief systems at large. The Naaru, however, were very disapproving of this 'enlightenment' and suggest that the Light must have blessed this gnome for reasons beyond anyone's comprehension. ::
and that high elves can be paladins? or only if the horde asks for it, Blizzard gives it.
Awesome, now add a tank class to the drakes
Every race could already be DK, warrior, and hunter, ALMOST every race can be monks, and I'd be surprised if Cata monk races weren't coming out in 10.0 as well. Rogues, being a 'martial' class, should already have been an unlimited class but 'draenei and tauren have hooves' - despite there being countless quests where those races sneak around in 'pseuo-stealth' and don't get caught due to clopping about. Mages and priests make sense, really any race in an alliance-horde allied world - your character would be exposed to thousands of practitioners of the arcane. Priest is getting near the edge but if Blizz put in some more dialogue /lore/ spell aesthetics that delineated that different races follow different deities to obtain their powers, it would be a smoother ride. With universal access to priests and warriors, paladins should be next, but I would really lean on the spell aesthetic differences, and not just mounts being different. You can be a holy warrior, but show WHERE the power comes from. Zandalari had a decent chunk of lore in BFA that explained why they existed and how they were different from other paladins. Spell names or at least visual differences would carry this into believable, though.Druid, shaman, warlock, and demon hunter, in my opinion, cross the threshold into racial differences and identity. Draenei warlocks/DHs would be eredar. Night elves allowing warlocks? It could be done, absolutely. You could flip a switch and not explain anything, or you could take time, include in-game dialogue, quests, maybe build up to it over a patch?
