please dont ship them ffs
I wanta questlinw where Millificent Manastorm steals it, you need to help recover it, only to find that she took it to "mend" the relationship with Millhouse
As a queer person, not every character has to be queer, love doesn't have to be romantic, just let them be friends plz, we already have queer characters go celebrate if they'd just focus on the ones they already have.
Here's hoping they can just stay friends! Feels like every couple since the beginning of Dragonflight has been gay.
Valentines (and therefore Love is in the Air) has increasingly included good friendships outside of the romantic couples thing, so its probably a nod to that.
This is giving me Nimbus 2001 vibes. Imagine having farmed the original rocket your entire life, only for a new version to be added to the game. (I doubt the devs would actually do that, but it makes for a nice gotcha moment nonetheless.)
I don't get it? I am all for free love, free expression, etc. - let the people feel, do and think whatever they want, as long as everybody keeps their own and other ppls boundries in mind.I also understand that companies nowadays have to show that they are "getting it" and all that kind of thing - if only for virtue signaling. But ... why? Why do they have to use old and established characters for these things? Could it be ... just a thought ... that nobody would care, if and when they use new characters? I mean I played the o'hnara plains and saw the questline with the centaur-couple. Why not? New characters, free game and all, they can do with them whatever they want ... but ... Just let old and established characters be. Keep them faithful - it's the only way they can be authentic. Gaz was and still is "the original goblin" and they always and only have "money on their mind" - even when we got the bobby self-insert with gallywix. Romance is nothing he is know for, bromance or business-relationships sure - even glimpses of good will - but never (like he himself said) mushy feelings.Just use new characters for all this virtue-signaling, rainbow-flag-flying and so on. Don't missuse old and beloved characters for cheap points on the internet - even if there will always be someone to "support" it (these ppl flock to the new thing as fast as possible anyway - they can never be satisfied - they always want more).Just look at Harry Potter and all the "new information" J R R Rowling "established" - it did nothing to better the universe. Or look at Star Wars and their Mary Sue "Rey", who can do no wrong and all the old and established characters are dumb and weak (han not knowing his own ship, rey certainly knew it). Look at LoL with Graves and Twisted Fate - the bromance of the old wild west with betrayal and so on (like Jack and Barbossa in Pirates of the Carrabean) was cast away for a new broke back mountain. Hell even He-Man was tainted with these signaling-agenda ... peaking in the epitome of virtue signaling evel-in-man ... Why?Tell these stories with compelling new characters and I am all for it (The Dragon Prince up to a point), but don't change old characters just for "woke"-points which only ppl, who flock to these things for shortterm hype, care for ... but only for a short amount of time. I mean t.A.T. did a crazy good job of bringing these things into the limelight back in the days (all the things she said - for instance) and it felt natural - especially with the whole russian-anti-homosexual-background. I just want consistent, compelling and interesting characters with authentic motiviations and actions. Not "billboards" for cheap internet points which are being sacrificed for short-term "acceptance". Write new characters with equal consistent, compelling and interesting storys and use them for these things - they may even find their place and be something we care about. Hell imagine Gandalf saying these things to Saruman, because Ian McKellen is gay. Why? I respect and admire Ian McKellan - he always is stellar, but not because he is an "virtue signal", but because he is always authentic, compelling and he feels "real" when he plays a role. Do the same here - make it believable and then give the characters a background that expands them and don't just use them as cheap "hey, i am xyz too"-signals.Sorry, rant over.I just want to keep my money grabbing, tinkering, gnome-exploding, ogrimmar-building, kadghar-taunting, wealth-grabbing, sarcastic, green goblin - I don't want to loose him to ten minutes of "here, me too"-agenda.
I don't know if it's a lack in confidence in their own writing skill or in the players' abilities to understand their writing, but I'm really over Blizzard's apparent need to spell everything out for us. SO many characters express their feelings by spelling out exactly how they feel verbally. If done occasionally to express a hard-to-convey sentiment then this is no big deal. However, the frequency with which this happens really saps the energy from the story IMO.It really just comes back to "show, don't tell". Instead of having an awkward exchange, show me them having adventures that two good friends would have. Sure maybe it'd take a little longer and would have to be done over a few different events or sidequests, but IMO players would get more invested if we are experiencing them being unlikely friends rather than having to ready a (IMO) very out of character conversation. If they want to go in a particular direction with a character or with the relationship between characters take a little extra time to actually bring them there. Don't just rush and force it. Sure now they're canonically "friends" but what a lame and dull way to express a friendship between a tinkering goblin and dwarf who'd be perfect for various shenanigans.
I hella hope they end up like Shawn and Gus or JD and Turk. Bromance needs to be a real thing in wow. Totally support it if they're lovers, but we see almost no actual bromances.
there is "being honster about a couple and that they work due to chemistry"and then there is "look at us we are so progressive look annother one, aren't we acepting and showing how understanding we are?"Guys can be friendsGirls can be friendsTrans people can be friendsNot everytime two people find something in common they have to be on their way to marriage town..Especially not for "forced diversity and wokeness" sake.Get away from those Checkboxes and fix those game breaking bugs instead Blizz
It's nice to see friendships forming you don't actually see that much in this game.
I celebrate all love, but it's pretty clear it's two buds just happy to connect. I'd be excited to explore more plain old platonic best friendships, too. I think this is sweet. But I don't feel put upon if it ends up more or less than that. People need to calm down.
Why does Gazlowe STILL have a nameless npc model? He's a very important goblin character in lore and otherwise! Just port over his HotS model or something. Poor guy...GOBLIN RIGHTS!
