Can we just scrap our legendaries and get the Soul Ash back, kind of like the scrapper worked in BFA?
Biggest issue I see here is the market for level 4 base legendaries spiking hard. Normally not a big deal when something new comes along. But a lot of us crafted along lines that were 'most efficient' for our time to play. I do not mind farming the soul ash as that wont be an issue. Paying the exorbitant amounts for the materials to get something I currently already have in a different slot with said price due to an unclarified system to be dropped in a short amount of time.... While already running dungeons that have a drop rate so low I can count on one hand the times that I got something to drop from the run that was useful and not just a run to boost my weekly vault drop.... I love the game but these systems they have to gate or 'keep interest' in current content are doing the opposite. I work a lot, and seeing that anima drop at the end of a key in the time I have for maybe 2 dungeons sucks. And now the leggo that I could control and make where and how I wanted it, I need to take more of my time to farm more gold instead of run content. To me I see it as another task I have to do to continue, but to others, especially new people coming into this game. This process just seems.... off
I was under the impression that if you had enough alts to get the Korthite Crystals on your main, you could craft a rank 5 the first week. If that's true there's not much value in re-crafting rank 4 now, right? Even if its not the first week, it's not a foregone conclusion you'll get a drop from the new raid for exactly the slot your current legendary is in.
Totally no regards and respect to player's time and effort in levelling up their profession, and in farming torghast for soul ash.Is this blizz's way of showing their bosses that Torghast has been a huge success cos people are spending so much time in it (both in 9.0 and still in 9.1).This is their performance metric, people spending time in new content. So the best way is to force the players to grind currency again and again.Who cares if the said content is woeful and hated by the playerbase.
The question is - do we really require a legendaries and other crappy designed "game mechanics"? I can live without it.
Don't even want to think how the "after-SL" wow will look like...
i mean, this is a great article, but i hat to see this. i mean, i've geared like 10 characters in this 15 year long 9.0 patch and now i can recraft just about every legendary if i want to raid? just give us the opportunity to recraft the lego at the runecarver by just bringing a new vessel aka the armor piece you need. otherwise this becomes really obnoxious for players...
In case anyone was wondering, and wasn't sure (ie me), you can not socket the base white item ahead of time (for the leggo that currently can't be crafted, aka the red asterisk). So if they consider newly crafted rank 4s in 9.1 (for slots that don't exist until 9.1) as s2 items, the holding plan won't work eitherThis news gets even more effed up the more I tried to reduce the damage they're causing.
Boy am I glad I made sure to craft the legendaries I'd need before taking a break for TBCC so I was 'ready' for 9.1, only to have to re-craft them again..
So basically. every specs BIS legendary has to be recrafted?
This is so convoluted and unnecessary.
It boggles my mind that people are defending this.Like why actively defend bad systems that screw over everyone, I don't understand?
That's it blizzard. Final nail in a coffin. I am done.
Wow, i am shocked. Just crafted wrong slot for character I was going to raid with. This sucks all anticipation for 9.1 from me and makes me even question if I want to continue playing.Edit: I am not even bothered about the soul ashe I have to farm again soon at increased rate, but changing legendaries will cost me 150k gold per character.
