Great post, very helpful, thanks for sharing!
Impressive to say the least.
James, thank you for sharing your story and your journey playing WOW. Let's hope that Bliz will see this and make changes for a more inclusive game experience.
this is absolutely astonishing. the dedication to and the level you play at, makes me feel inferior. You are truly an inspiration.
Fittingly putting a gnome in the thumbnail.I'm so so sorry for this I swear, but I couldn't help it...But on the topic, It's great to have some insight on how dedicated some people have been to make the game accessible to almost anybody. Until reading this article, I assumed it was completely impossible to get anything done as a blind player, but James has proven me wrong.Keep at it James !
I normally don’t comment on things, might have 3 in my lifetime on wowhead. But this is nothing short of amazing, James. Glad you can find love in a game where many of us do, when it would seem impossible to do. I saw that you run 17 level keys, but if you’re missing any 15’s for your achievement hit me up, Duekov-Area52. Keep on gaming dude!
Have watched James for a bit over a year, great bloke and he has a really awesome support system. His room mates are awesome. He's a great inspiration
oh ^&*!, I'm legally blind, don't have time to look at this right now but I need to for sure come back and read/watch this! Normally I don't really care about representation or anything like that, but it is nice when occasionally disability and people overcoming such obstacles is acknowledged.
Did they elevate a question about blizzard constantly banning disabled people for using apps without those they wont be able to play? Like very specific controllers for disabled people and programs which allow to use these controllers to manipulate on PC
So... even blind people are running Mythics now? Wooow. Impressive, well done to them! Also, it seems like us filthy casuals have no more excuses left, lol.
Just installed DialogKey and oh my this is a quality of life improvement!
I cried. I'm perfectly functional (or maybe i'm delusional) and sometimes I can't handle some things on game...Love his courage and I will love to be as brave as he is
really impressive setup, would never have thought healing would be possible without sight
I really want to see that +17
ayy i'm legally blind, i'm glad someone with complete vision loss is able to achieve so much in the game.gives me some motivation!
Woah. I don't have any visual impairment, but I've got a neurodevelopmental disorder that effects, among many other things, my spatial awareness and ability to recognize visual cues. Essentially, my eyes can see just fine, but my brain just doesn't pick up on signals very quickly (if at all). There's certain things in WoW that are exceptionally difficult for me because of it -- I've never been able to get into raiding because of how easily I can accidentally screw up on mechanics. Reading this is genuinely a huge inspiration -- I wasn't aware of just how extensive accessibility options are. Definitely going to look further into this.
That's so cool!

Wow, just wow. Don't know what to say. Very inspirational!
I love the innovation and collaboration to make this happen. Inspirational indeed. #noexcuses
