They keep making these garrisons more and more mandetory instead of something fun to the side, and our choices get more and more limited only 2 out of 5 medium building and only 2 out of 5 large ones you can take especially the large ones you will really need armory and barracks if you want to make proper use of your followers.Like it wasnt bad enough allready you stuck to 1 location unlike they said when they hyped it at blizzcon, regretting my preorder more and more esp with the maby no flying after 6.1 also hate no flying zones.
Lovely guide!
Will have some level 3 Horde Garrison pics up shortly, just waiting on the Alchemy lab to finish constructing.Oops, apparently my Garrison just updated normally now. Added the level 2 pics instead.
Have to say I was expecting SOME variation in the architecture aside from "Every building is ork designed" but nope. Which is a shame, really, given the Armory on the Alliance has a dwarven theme, but the apothecary on Horde's Garrison is still, of course, orc-themed. As someone mentioned WoW is already behind most other games in terms of customization... but oh well. I guess I'll just swallow my hopes and watch exactly what else they're going to continually nerf of their ideas until WoD comes out.
Very much looking forward to Draenor
Man, i'm so pumped up for this expansion!
Question: To max out Alchemy proff it looks like I'll need 4 different proff buildings ? Is this correct ?
I have a level 4 garrison on Alliance side on the Gilneas Beta server. I would like someone from Wowhead to contact me regarding the information on plot sizes.
Anyone remember them talking about a building or feature that would let you display your rare mounts for friends to see when they are in your garrison?
I am a little confused about the profession buildings. As Engineering/Inscription will I need those two profession to generate rare mats used in recipes, or can I choose two other profession buildings to make up for say the lack of a tailor or enchanter?
I wonder if that's the menagerie?
I love all this pictures! Hope there will be more next time ;-)
There is one inaccurate statement that I found here. On the third day of beta I have the alchemy lab on an alt and the Tannery on my main. The Tannery is obtainable for LWs from the "Friendly Competition" quest which, before the fix, was completable by farming Haraam The Fool, which I did for two hours and got the tannery built so it was in game at launch of beta, just that the quest was bugged. The tannery to date however, is broken. All the NPCs inside are hunter stable masters and the tannery is unable to accept work orders. It is built though and made me able to upgrade my base to level 2.
Lord of Ultima has taken over Warcraft!
I think I can speak for allot of people when I say I'm mostly looking forward to the garrisons in the next expansion. I think it is going to bring so much more to the game, it looks so interesting and I cant wait to try it out in game. All I need to do is get my hands on one of them beta keys and ill be sorted.
I've been reading the garrison guides, comments, building pages etc and I may be dense, but I just cannot figure out the purpose of the profession buildings. Are they meant to enhance or complement the player's primary professions? For example, does The Forge provide more benefit to Blacksmiths or non-Blacksmith plate wearers? Also, work orders. I don't know if the garrisons in beta are able to see this yet, sorry for being impatient. Are work orders you telling your followers (after they're assigned to the building) to building a certain item you want, or are they mini-quests like turn-in x number of widgets to support whatever war effort we're coming together for this expansion? Thanks
