so the option of playing level 20 twink for 8 years not there? how rude. People at 20 know more about the game than end game snowflakes.
I'm curious as to why all but one achievement is link to BFA? Is it only going to be a guide for BFA? What about other xpacs?Seems pretty dumb to only need BFA achievements, so if someone say started in Legion how can they possible be able to help someone in BC CATA or WOLK?

Honestly this Guide-System doesn't seem that bad tbf, It allows one to shrine to help new peoples. You being the Mentor to help someone. As this " Someone " was you when you first started. Imagine you " Now ", giving the " Newbie You " advice about the game.I personally love this Guide-System, as you actually get to help new peoples ^w^(( What I'm afraid of is, what if the Boosting Services / Gold sellers, joins this system and spams this " Guide Chat ", it would ruin the whole System. So i hope that GM's will keep their eyes on the Guide-Chat at all times!. ))
Its something. Though sadly I won't be able to participate since I haven't been so active this expac. That said, I played since bc and I know enough lore, quest routes, shortcuts, basic necessities, and have been occassionally guiding new players during my free time already. I would recommend a trivia system where it matters. A semi exam, based on lore, quests, crafting, etc. The dungeon requirements can stay but ramp it to atleast normal onwards. The guide system can label guides based on the area they registered for. Someone who registers to be a dungeon guide, can have all the current raids he has completed on the highest difficulty, etc. PvP guides, can have their class and highest rank on that class listed. You can obviously choose to register for all the guide roles if you are well versed. I dunno just brqinstorming here. The way to avoid trolls from the system would be to make it somewhat difficult for the guys to get. So they are on the right track. Just there is so much to wow then raids and pvp which people can help with in the game. And to that end I feel the requirements should be more flexible yet specific. A mythic raider for instance could care less about the lore but still aim for M+ with his guild every time a new one comes out. If someone asks how garrosh went from azeroth to drainer he may not be able to answer. Similarly he won't be able to give assistance to pvp players regarding specific class mechanics and such basic things when it comes comes to pvp. Probably thinking too much into it. But I don't want the system to turn like FF and actually be useful, to players with different interests in the game.
Wow. So this really only covers those who played the most recent content to be able to be helpful? I have played this game since 2006, almost continuously, I thought this was a great way to give back and help people who get stuck (I help people who ask questions now anyway), and I do not qualify for this system. I have the Terrific Trio and the 3k Quests, but not the others.I know that people will likely grief me for this, but I don't gel with the game is played these days - speed runs, world firsts, paying gold for titles and run throughs etc. I like the slow game - the collecting, travelling the lands, doing old content, transmog. I try to join the queues but there is always such an impression of never being good enough, not having good enough gear, being looked down upon for your choice of how to set up your character. And these are people who will lead the new players through the game? There would be absolutely a need for those that are well informed on the end game content, it's a shame to see the entire system is geared towards making only those people seem qualified, and it will likely end up with yet another chat filled with "Will answer your questions - GOLD ONLY". What a disappointment.
Requirements I would implement if I were in charge:- All of the existing requirements, but remove as an option.- Account in good standing, with a clean disciplinary record (No TOS violations within the past 3 years).- Replace with "Any AotC achievement (Acquired by killing the final boss of a raid on Heroic difficulty while it is current content)".
They're joking, right? You can have played the game literally from the start, and know the ins and outs of every class, but if you didn't have a guild or a rig that would run them or the time or the inclination to raid or PvP or run serious dungeons during BfA (which has absolutely zero impact on your ability to answer questions about the 99.99% of the game that isn't BfA raiding, mythics, or PvP), you can't help people? There are words for that, and I can't print them here. The people who are out running those raids and Mythics and serious PvPing aren't the ones who have time to sit around and answer questions from newbies. So, congratulations Blizzard, you've gone from requirements that would have literally let just about everyone be a mentor to requirements that are so strict that vast chunks of people who would be willing to help won't qualify. You want a worthwhile achievement to require along with the 3000 quest one and the 3+ max levels one? Freaking Loremaster. Instead, you're going to make people who ground levels as fast as possible and then PvP'd or ran Mythics and raids (probably with an insular guild group) the only people qualified to help new players. Good job. That can't possibly end badly. No new players will be treated like morons by any of those people. Nope. Never.
i dont know if i trust LFR heroes to tie their shoes without dying to anguish, much less mentor new players. how is that equivalent to Rival?
rival? seriously?it should be 1500 rating.pvp is entirely irrelevant to understanding THE WHOLE of the game.
Started playing FFXIV and this type of chat has saved me some serious research. I'm glad to see it coming to WoW.
This is a good change though I am not a PvPer, combatant is highest rating i got in BFA yet still i am supporting this system. Some random casual who does few LFR and WQ shouldn't be guide just because their account is 10+ years old. You ain't veteran if you are not doing the current content. Do i sound toxic? Nope, you can't pick up random people from the street to for your school. You'll take experienced and qualified people to be your teacher.
