lol, love it, Arideni!Great post!
Yay! Another awesome post from the Wowhead blog team! Awesome. My winter tradition is to makes sure to get a Christmas tree. This is a lot harder when your roommate doesn't necessarily agree with you.
Posting, just to say I've posted in Arideni's thread.

Great post, Arideni.
I believe I remember something similar to the piece of candy of each day thing when I was little...I'll have to think long and hard, but that really does sound familiar... Thank you for having brought back a vague, yet wonderful, Christmas memory.
I had a stuck of luck and it drop off a normal mob in Dustwalllow Marsh with my level 50 rogue.
Nice post Arideni, I have a green 'holiday' hat that dropped off grand warlock nethekurse last year. Each year my family does a little gift swap and it can be something useless or could cost more than the present you just got. It is very interesting to see some of the presents, and at times very funny.
At work, there is a little thing done called "gag" gifts. Each day (about 3-5 days) the week before the holidays everyone draws names & gives a small prank/gag gift leading up to the real gift. Nothing expensive, but some small trinket, etc. One lady got a baby bottle & some headache medicine (she complains a lot). It was pretty funny to see what everyone got each day.
Thank you! That realy helped me!

If anyone is after the hat its not to hard as a 80 to solo your way to Grand Master Telestra in the Nexus.
I'd like to add that when the hats were first introduced they were a random world drop from anything, not just bosses (which is how my druid got hers, from a defias in elwyn)
