Oh I will freaking use this system like hell. Saw videos of it and its definetly faster than normal flying. Plus, I think its way more fun to have a bit of a system where you actually have to do something instead of just AFK Garry's Mod noclip via 1 button press and just be like "Yep, thats cool" or whatever. You can get from A to B nontheless maybe even faster if you use it right and thats what I love about it, that you can go faster if you just learn it and actually get the hang of it. Hope it stays and actually gets implemented as a opt-in for all players in the future aswell as it being implemented in the older zones as I would love to fly around Northrend that way too.
Damn, Spyro got big. I always hated those flight levels.
Looking forward to this! Those index claws on the highland drake remind me of the giant megaraptoran known as Maip. Maip macrothorax.
Really hoping for aerial dragon fights as a feature
I wonder if that construction going on in Stormwind (near the entrance to the Stockades) is for a "Rostrum of Transformation".
The 'major problem' I could see in this system (and many other systems) is that this is an Online game, with players playing from all over the planet, with different set ups and connections. I really hope they stick with 'normal flying' for the future in there, and this too, either as options, but this one the more rewarding one because, for example, you'd fly faster from A to B (faster than the 420/430% from our current mounts or even faster than 'taxi', excluding the 1000+/4000+% from the 'In between' areas in Shadowlands, the maximum from other maps I saw, was almost 800% in some cases).Keeping the old fashioned way makes more sense too, because it's already implemented outside there, on all other maps. In there, it could be easier, but the other way around, making this new way of flying on older maps, could take time and resources (they could, instead, increase the old one's speed, after you mastered the new one, on the isles).
Seems like a fulltime hands on experience which does sound very interesting in it's right mind. And (Not gonna Lie) I will more than likely enjoy the hell out of this new feature! However I would like to see more of how this works as my wife who also plays is riddled with arthritis and has damaged fingers. When we play, I haul her around on the X-53 Touring Rocket and when she plays solo she will point her mount in the direction and activate the autorun or takes the Fight Master. Are the functions of Dragonriding going to impede on her ability to stay in flight since it's momentum base? How hard it's it gonna be for other with issues involving their hands? For me this will be a fun feature but for others who have issues this may not be a very welcoming feature if you can't use the normal flying mounts in Dragonflight.
