I missed this one on alpha and live, have to look it up. that's sweet!/brutal at the same time. I like these little chains, thanks for writing about this!
"where we meet Duroz Scaletaker and his young companion, Kolgar Flameguard. Kolgar is from the Dragonmaw Clan"I think it's supposed to be "Duroz is from the Dragonmaw Clan" right?
Beautiful quest chain. There were some people in the other topic who argued that Duroz never faced justice for his actions, but think about this. In his final days, he felt remorse and sorrow. He was unhappy, and he died unhappy. For Duroz, it was perhaps too late for redemption - but it's not too late for Kolgar, and that we can all learn from the actions made by our forebearers, to be better.
I knew that this was here. I just didn't know where to look. Perhaps I'll do it now since I know where one quest is.
Hmm, it's a bit weird i was never invested in story in w2 (played as lil'kiddo), and i knew that dragonmaw had dragons but i never bothered to think who kept on making them, so it's really weird hearing that alex has been captured. She was still an aspect back then so how did she get captured?
I skipped over most of the post because I didn’t want to spoil anything. I didn’t know about it until now. Is it still weekly time gated or can you catch up if you started later?
The first part of this quest made me cry, I don't know if I can go back and finish it now.
Why is it always regret and honour bs. Why can't we have some cool Horde proud to have enslaved such mighty creatures. Need more warmongering Horde and less boring Thrall Horde.
Just finished the last part, such a beautiful little questchain. I hope we see more of Kolgar and the little whelp! <3
Would be cool of Kolgar and the whelp returned in like 1-2 expansions with the whelp grown up a bit
There's no place for Orcs who want to enslave sentient peoples or force them to give birth. It's pretty evil.
I love how blizzard seems to think genocide and other horrifying war crimes aren't a big deal as long as you are sad about it afterwards.First you had Saurfang being treated as a hero by the Alliance after cheerfully taking part in three separate genocidal wars against different Alliance races and now this, it's hilarious.
This was one of my most favorite quests on beta! Enticed my guild to make sure and do it, they fell in love with it as well. I love the end of the first part when the little whelp curls up on Duroz. Quest was written well, I could feel the fear and regret Duroz held. Everyone makes mistakes of all types.... not everyone has regret or remorse for theirs but he certainly did. You can feel his guilt over his past and how much it weighed on him ..... and you can feel and see his remorsefulness and regret. Great quest!
