thank you! this was specially annoying if you played a dot class and wanted to dot the elite mobs only. thx <3
You know an expansion is progressing really well when a silver dragon portrait is a newsworthy controversy. Blizzard heard the feedback and is in the process of adding back this minor thing. Between this and the reddit threads on the topic you'd think it was a fiasco on par with azerite armor.
The glory of the past has returned to us.
This was known for a few weeks already, no?
Stop Californicating my Icons.. I like the Silver Dragon.
The long national nightmare is over!
I've been using one of the Unit Frames addon for a long time so it didn't affect me but even I was surprised and thought this was an unnecessary change when they did it on beta. Some simple things are better left as it is!
Many people I see complained about the loss of the silver dragon because it was an indicator that they hadn’t killed the rare mob that day.So I have one simple question for people whom relied on it. How are y’all able to tell you hadn’t killed the rare mob that day if the rare is not up for you to see the silver dragon? And I’ll answer that without addons (which I already use), you can’t besides plain remembering.Which leads me to the next point, while the return of the silver dragon is a good aesthetic restoration. People who relied on it alone to get information, are purposely putting themselves at a disadvantage solved many years ago with map and list addons for rares. So why be dependent on blizz to provide solutions?
It's no wonder Blizzard doesn't listen to feedback when stuff like this becomes a noteworthy issue to the community.
Silver dragon very cool. Me go brrr when me see silver dragon enemy. Shiny star not shiny enough. Shiny star boring. Boo!I'm very pleased to have the silver dragon portrait design back on the dragon-themed expansion of WoW.
Nonplussed doesn’t mean unhappy it means not reactive. I don’t think this term could ever be used to describe the wow community.
I'm glad they bought it back. I don't know it was even worth taking away in the first place, though.
Good. This shouldn't have even been an issue in the first place. The star icon was such a small thing, but it made it harder to notice rares because the icon meant NOTHING for players who were used to the dragons. Good riddance, /spit, and hope to never see Blizzard try to remove something iconic again. Glad to see they got some nice art updates too. They actually look like an upgrade to the old dragon borders. Huge difference from the cheap clay look that the gryphon and wyvern action bar icons got.
While they're at it, can they add the old micro-menu as an option, because the new mono-chromatic one is BAD.Like "why would anyone ever think this is better for all players?" bad.
Thank goodness! I often forgot what that little dinky star meant and kept thinking, "Wait, am I attacking a quest monster?" Silver dragon is so iconic for saying "Hey, this is a rare. Go kill it for loots and exp."
Welcome to Dragonflight. Where we remove dragons.
