I don't understand people's rants, if these are true, they actually solve a lot of problems the game has been suffering from for years, even during its prime.class skins: perfect way to express different class fantasies without having to create new classes, thus having even more balancing issues. Essentially, you just recolor and rename the spells, but all abilities are functionally exactly the same. Many people have been asking about this in wow forums. Even more options could be become available in time (think Tauren Sun warriors and priests, blood elven, well, blood knights, Draenei paladins could have a more naaru themed skin as opposed to "holy light" etc) Best of all, this can be optional, so if you still want to be some sort of angel tauren, well you can... Everybody wins.Micro classes: As they have single specs, they also sound easier to balance in the big scheme of things. Hell they might even be designed perfectly to fit one role on purpose, you play that class if you want to do exactly that one thing, which if there's no leveling required, makes it like quite a fun alt experience. Which brings me to the next pointNo leveling required. Absolutely hell yeah. End game can focus a lot more on narrative content and a superior story telling experience. You want to play a character straight to raids? Go for it. You want to play all of the game? Enjoy yourself. Providing that there isn't anymore silly borrowed power systems besides the classic stuff (ie you go raiding, and get better armor for raiding etc) this should theoretically work like a treat. Maybe it will finally dampen that need for speed at the start of the expansion, and you know, getting a couple of levels and replacing all your super powerful raiding/legendary stuff with some basic green item from a "go kill 10 boars" type of quest. The overall theme: Grounded in known and loved Azeroth centric lore, a great contrast after shadowlands. Nothing wrong with a bit of cosmic stuff, but this needs to be set up properly. The light vs void indeed cool, but it will again be two spacey. Let's stay on azeroth for an expansion or two, build up some mystery in the background as we deal with more tangible issues. When the time is right and the threat is now relevant and "natural" (as opposed to shoe horned in to the lore out of nowhere and completely ruin beloved villains...) then we go back out and we do epic cosmic stuff.Player housing: Personally never was too bothered about this but those of you who say "no one asked for this" I guess you don't really hang out in any kind of forums, besides to leave random complaints? Player housing is one of the most demanded features for years. If this gives more agency to the players, more ways to customize and express themselves then I don't see any issues with it. I'm sure the implementation is tricky which is why it took so long.
I really do hope all of this is fake, lmao. That MMO champ post is just ridiculous and most of that sounds like crap. There will be no new classes. It's pointless.
some of these ideas are pretty cool and I hope they introduce them
I swear if we get some kind of Bard or Minstrel class ill lose my freaking mind.
no new lvl cap what a joke what is the point of an mmo then?
