That's good that they are nerfing it. Content should never be tuned for or around world first raiders or MDI champions doing it as organized group with voice comps. It should always be tuned for pug groups that do no communication and allow for mistakes to happen. It should be accessible and easily doable by players of any skill level and group composition.I already see how horribly unbalanced this dungeon is going to be for certain classes if they don't further massively nerf it... And ofc those classes are going to be excluded from groups and just give up on the game and quit. This is always happen when you design content for hardcore tryhards...
They should add hard mode toggle at the start of the dungeon that not only reverts all the nerfs but also massively buffs every mechanic on top, make it award "the Irrelevant" title and nothing else.
I find it kinda funny, that people are complaining about the nerfs and since its the wowhead comment section, I bet 90% hasnt even played the dungeon.I'm now only talking about the first boss, but that thing was pretty much unbeatable if you havent had a favorable group comp. We had to double heal the boss or take a BDK with my Lay on Hands (holy paladin) or else we wouldnt have been able to kill him. Its not like we were a casual LFR PuG group, 5 CE raiders, but that shield, that damn shield can suck my shiny metal ass and I'm happy it got nerfed. The other bosses and mechanics maybe didnt have to get that hard, but still, at the end of the day, blizzard wants everyone to be able to clear it at some point, be it with max season 3 gear (where the CE dungeon achievement will be removed anyway).
When writing reporting articles, refrain of filling them with the writer's opinion unless you do so at the end with a disclaimer or its an opinion piece which should be pointed out in the title. This issue seems to be happening way too often in recent times. Now without having experienced the dungeon in its previous state and the current in PTR, for people claiming this dungeon was hyped up as a raid difficulty experience, while I strongly believe the future of this game finds itself in 5man difficult yet puggable content, the only hype was done by WoWhead itself. I dont recall the devs ever claiming it would be any different from previous stuff.
It's kinda hilarious how some people here think that blizzard saw few comments on wowhead and decided to make the changes. The changes are probably based off feedback done by people that were actually testing this megadungeon on PTR servers and content creators or just high end raiders that sent feedback when it comes to some encounters here, because even when you watch some new videos from this, you will see that stuff was overtuned.
Also to all those "I think I want challenge, but I don't" people, let's imagine this dungeon is released in 3 difficulties (normal, heroic and mythic) at once and all difficulties have exact same rewards, which difficulty do you think players will do the most? The answer is normal, because its more accessible. Plain and simple - the easier, the better. Also its weird when ppl claim they want challenge, but at same time they demand better rewards for said challenge, aren't you want challenge and not the rewards? Or you are after rewards afterall and challenge is just a bragging rights secondary thing?
Lol, I don't know what people that think making a dungeon super "challenging" so only a handful of players do it are huffing but thank god blizz does not listen to you cause this game would be dead. Having a challenge is great but having content that a lot of people won't do is a big loss for blizzard. Cause i don't know how many people bother doing dungeons but probably even fewer will bother with this if its super hard.Accessibility is super important, but some people don't seem to get it.If you want a hard dungeon ask for hard modes, it's been a thing in game for a long ass time yet its super rarely used.
