Ah, the tears of the HCs are delicious. Salty, and delicious.
Whatever Blizzard do with the game the "hard done by" Elitists will find a way to counter what Blizzard do - it's in their nature to try and be the 'top of the tree'.Know this, though... it's the ONLY tree you'll be top of; because of the anonymity of the Internet, those who act that way just portray themselves as the spoilt brats they want to be, but are highly unlikely to be in real life. If you are seen to behave like a d**k, you will be seen to BE a d**k - simplez.Said it before & will always maintain... it's BLIZZARD's game, they'll do what they want - don't like it, you know where the 'delete character' button is.
you really need to calm down guys, doing every LFR, Mythic dungeon, weekly quest every week takes a lot of effort "looking for groups and the time spent during that or waiting for ques specially if you're a dps" unless you have a group of friends this will really take a lot of time.beside it's not like pvp, already people are setting crazy standards to get to kill Archimond which is tough and don't give a chance to new players, so blizz is gearing them for your standards "example would be a player who is fully BRF mythic geared that quit the game for a while and now came back won't get a chance to even join normal groups since*most* people want us to be geared over 710 ilvl" either all of that or someone have to find a good guild that accepts them but am talking about individual players.
At least give the ppl like me that got the ring maxed like it should have been done an achiv or something. Or put a weekly limit of 1 upgrade with VP, its a disrespect to ppl that put the effort of killing archi every single weak to get this done.... I've maxed out 2 rings, and what do i get for the effort?
Even if people that don't raid upgrade the ring doesn't mean that they can maximize their dps in a Heroic Arch fight or even normal. I'm sure req for Heroic Arch will be 720+ from here on out.
Regardless of what it enables or doesn't enable, having a "catch-up' mechanism to upgrade a "LEGENDARY" ring is ridiculous. As Mightylorddk said, "How could it be legendary if everybody has it?" Bad enough Blizz re-introduced Valor Points to upgrade gear by 10 points for every 500 Valor, but this dynamic removes a significant credibility connection between being able to upgrade the ring and downing Archimonde in normal or harder difficulty. The ring should no longer be called a legendary ring. They ought to rename it to something more fitting like "Khadgar's Welfare Ring of Valor". Valor = WoW Welfare currency. But make no mistake, Blizz doesn't make any move without their bottom line in mind. Whatever metric they used to determine this decision, they've concluded that more people would be happy about it than irked by it. To me, it just cheapens all of the effort and perseverance I put in to downing Archimonde (normal and heroic) on several toons. As of the date I post this, a 725+ item level is indicative of some degree of excellence/achievement. In a few months it will be passe, if not utterly trivial. Thanks, Blizz...
Well they are giving away Crystallized Fel now.. maybe they will start giving away the Grove Warden Mount or even the Mythic Archi mount next... kind of makes raiding irrelevant for anything other than prestige now... I can have a full 705 toon with baleful empowered gear and a 790 legendary ring with only having to ever lfr...
maybe they want as many people as possible to max out their ring before 7.0 drops. makes me think people won't have enough time to max out their ring with weekly normal/heroic arch kill from here to 7.0 if their ring is still 735. 20 kills would take till May 17.
"Well this seems an odd move by Blizzard... The one thing that was keeping many people playing was upgrading their ring through Archi kills each week. Now they'll get it in a week and have nothing else to do. Just strikes me as strange that Blizzard would encourage people to play less, given the current state of WoW subs..."Well for people with a lot of alts (like myself) this is actually a LOT to do, cause I have to grind on all of my toons for all of their rings AND get their gear fully upgraded so for me it's like a dose of extra content or extra stuff to keep me occupied in game.
I don't understand the complaints. If you've been raiding, this doesn't affect you because you already have your ring maxed or nearly maxed on your main. This only helps raiding alts, off specs, and the folks who aren't competing for ranks. I completely support Blizz's decision to raise the ilvl of 90% of the people I play with outside of raid.
Thank you, Blizzard, for thinking about filthy casuals like myself :)
