I think it is okay this time. They added some honor talents that are almost always picked up. Impacts less in PvE while giving few gimmicks to work around with.
Should've just made Moonkin Aura and Leader of the Pack give a flat 5% increased chance to crit, or 10% in a similar way to buffs like Arcane Intellect. In fact, now that I think about it... I just want Druids to get back, maybe as a 10% Armor buff.
The only interesting essence was "removed"... What a surprise!
Now they all suck. One less thing I have to worry about I guess.
Give some damage to a mages. WTF, only trash talents..
Is this a joke? Discipline priest has the most OP of all the pvp essences and they nerf HOLY to the ground?
Why does it even exist? Is there a particular design decision behind this, other than "We thought it would be cool to bring some of the PvP talents into PvE"? Well, what is stopping them from actually adding new tools to classes instead of giving a very questionable choice of being able to play with one, in some cases completely useless, extra talent? Are developers' hands tied? This is just asking for horrible balance issues going into the future. This list just proves that no matter how they play around with it, this Essence is a very bad idea.
I dunno, the update seems to synergize better with a few talents, combine it with your Ascendance and you basically can chainsaw through a lot of things especially outside of Stormstrike procs. Also means you can get your Feral Spirit, Ascendance, and Astral Shift can be used more often. This also helps out our tanks and fellow melee DPS.So in actuality it adds a bit more utility to our toolbox.
where is warrior and warlock?
First, people need to realize this essence is primarily for PvP players, who use it to get an extra PvP talent. It's not meant for PvE players. PvP players can still choose the strong PvP talents for use in PvP and War Mode. The following is my opinions on the changes relevant to PvE.---The old enhancement one was going to guarantee to pull trash in M+ and wipe groups, so like it or not, it had to be changed. You can say "I would only use Stormstrike when there's 2 targets!" yea, that's nice to say in theory, but what happens when you fight a M+ boss like, say, Trothak in Freehold, and then your ability causes it to pull the pirates around the Ring? It's a PvP talent where you don't have to worry about aggroing things. The new one however, will probably be good. Not quite sure why the holy priest one was changed though? Resto druids can apply *all* their HoTs instantly to one target every 45 seconds, but instant prayer of mending is too broken? Glad they changed the hunter one. The Feign Death one looks good in theory, but you have to remain feigned for the -99% damage taken debuff and it only lasts 1.5 seconds, and it only clears *magic* effects, so poisons, curses, bleeds, etc. will still kill you once you stand up. Feral and Moonkin HAD to be changed. It made them **MANDATORY** in raid teams. And considering how few melee slots there are, that's not fair for specs like Survival and Enhancement who are already fighting for the 1 or MAYBE 2 slots that aren't already taken by the Havoc/Windwalker (if there isn't a Vengeance/Brewmaster/Mistweaver) in the raid. It'd pretty much guarantee survival and enhancement would never see the light of day in a raid. And then there'd be 2 required moonkins, which would mean very limited ranged DPS spots.Likewise, Rogues already have insane utility in M+, they didn't need even MORE utility with Smoke Bomb. It needed to be changed. I can slightly understand the mage changes, because they outright said they don't want this essence being the overall winner in PvE, and the old talents it'd be the clear winner in essences, but Temporal Shield seems like a weird replacement. That said, they REALLY need to spread out the current raid buffs/utility because the fact raids are required to bring a havoc DH and windwalker if they dont have a monk/DH tank or monk healer is messed up. Like, for example:Shroud to Priests and possibly Demon Hunters. (Wrap the Party in Void Essence/Darkness)Attack Power to Death Knights (Horn of Winter).Stamina to Druids. (Mark of the Wild).Intellect to Warlock. (Fel Intelligence)Physical Damage Debuff to Hunters. (Expose Weakness)Magical Damage Debuff to Shaman. (Elemental Wrath)Names being old buffs/debuffs they had. This spreads every buff/debuff to at least 2 classes, and the M+ utility of shroud to 2-3 classes.Paladins can keep their utility for themselves (Blessings) since they don't necessarily give a significant advantage, but they are nice to have, but never make them mandatory in a group.
MW still get to keep Way of the Crane? Come on Blizzard, change it already, we all know it isn't gonna make it to live and if it is, it will be hotfixed after a week. Stop getting people's hopes up. Probably same with Premonition for Disc. Give all specs something useless for PvE already.
To all the qq nabs, these never ment to be the best or ecan a good a pve options these are for arena, thorns is used by almost every druid in pvp imo, temporal also by every mage, survival tactics could be extremely opf fpr soaking in raids so probably thats the reason they changed it. They did these so all of you dont have to complain later that you must do arena, to be able to participate pve content properly, but i guess nothing is good enough for the wowhead comment section.
I can see Enhancement's having some interesting use in raids, it could certainly boost tank survivability
These are actually crap now. Especially Ret. No one is going to choose a 30% movement speed over any of the other traits ever. Unless you REALLY hate walking between WQ mobs?
Lol Blizzard u sucks ...what is that jesus
I actually think that Ride the lightning would have been amazing in M+. Sure other essences are great too but ride the lightning would have given them a reason to be taken into M+.
