Good, now remove the requirement for allied races.
Well it’s about time
Thank goodness!
Good change for the new folks
Thanks for making me waste my time all for nothing in the end.
@DamwolvYou worked for the ability to fly earlier than anyone else. Congrats. You still get the mount though.
Well, congrats to those who cried loud enough to have this removed. They just wanted a hand me down so they can fly....good grief. I call it pure laziness at its finest. You want to fly? you gotta earn it. Its not going to be given to you. But again, Congrats you got what you wanted. Next: raid bosses only have one mechanic so they can get AOTC immediately and 3 mechanics to complete CE....
Yes, usual stuff, don't know, I personally liked the pathfinder achievements to work on unlocking flying, and in essence it was some work we had to do for it, so I don't like that such work is no longer required now, HOWEVER we now got to a point where basically we are aware of it, because for example the wod and legion pathfinders were no longer required to fly there once SL came out if I recall, so now we have 2 choices: either go for the pathfinder immediately, spend some time for 2 weeks to get flying, or stay grounded for 4 years, generally 2 expansions, until they remove the achievement, so unless one is not playing for a big part of those 4 years I don't think it would be wise to stay grounded until they become free if you're actively playing.
I'd like to think my thread helped push blizzard over the line on this onehttps://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/t/the-state-of-flying-is-really-disappointing-for-new-players/1516215Frankly it was ridiculous as it was. So inconsistent.
good riddance, may they never do something so foolhardy ever againthe dragon glyph system is objectively a better way to have us progress through "learning" how to fly if that's how they really want to do it
Praise the Titans! Can't wait to provide this answer to the new folks in Newcomer Chat when they inevitably ask why they can fly in most places and not in BfA content that they are directed into doing.
I really thought they had done this already. What a horrible experience for new players to see everyone else flying (and at level 30) but they have to hit 60 and leave BFA because they would never finish Pathfinder before moving to Dragonflight even if they focused on it. That is nuts and I can't believe it was left like that. Someone dropped the ball there. They should have lifted it in Shadowlands.
