disengage on GCD? yeah blizz good way to make ppl hate playing a hunter even more. good one morons
Soothing Mists? They put Soothing Mists on the GCD?Do the devs even understand their own game? This literally destroys MW monks. Makes them the only healer that needs to wait a full GCD after completing a cast to start a new one. No burst healing. No reason to bring them into a raid over a healer that can actually handle high-damage abilities. This makes their butchering of Fury look downright merciful. How are people defending this? How?
I read the blue post, approached it with a open mind and tested it for a week. And I hate it. It drives me crazy. It disrupts fluidity of game play. Nothing frustrates more than standing around and waiting to get on with the game. The tempo of the game is already too slow. It feels like a horrible mess. Asked my friends and no one has anything positive, I do not see the point in doubling down at all.
JFC ... wish I hadn't used my boost so I could demand a refund for my pre-order
Alphas are used to test changes. They need to see how these things effect combat. They aren't just going to assume they know, and neither should we. Test this stuff out, give feedback on actual feel, and resist the urge to fire off blanket statements.
Ahahahaha, good one Blizzard xD Oh wait, it's not 1st April anymore......
I like this change. Makes you have to plan ahead for certain things
It seems that every single person here crying about these changes is worried about their own specific spec, not understanding that it is happening to every spec in the game...? I really don't understand. I am super happy with these changes as a whole, glad they are slowing down game play and giving you more time to think instead of just push ALL the buttons ALL the time. They nerfed bust and now movement. I main an arms warrior and I am GLAD they are adding this to leap, super annoying accidentally using 2 charges of leap with my lego shoulders on all the time, and since I will be using to till 115 to lvl this will be a change I am all for. I am only slightly worried about charge being on it but it is only on a .5sec GCD, not a major loss. Just wont be able to have heroic throw macroed into charge for double chance to proc free execute before I even get to my target, since both throw and charge can proc the ring (soon to be talent yet again). But this is exactly the type of of thing I am glad to see go, I should not be ABLE to put multiple abilitys into 1 macro like that, it defeats the purpose of even having the abilitys be separate in the 1st place. "Why not just have charge ALSO throw your weapon, then get rid of heroic throw because nobody uses it besides in a macro~!" Is not something the devs should be thinking of. All in all, super excited for these changes and the slowing down of game play. ^.^
I'm following this discussion here as well as on a few other different platforms, and I'm noticing that it seems to be the unskilled players that are in support of these GCD changes. The players whom are clicking their abilities are already drastically slowing down their game play to such an extent, that they likely wouldn't even notice these changes when they go live. Unfortunately, there certainly are a number of players who are defending these changes simply because their sub-par skillsets inhibits them from being able to understand the reality of these changes. It's truly not my intention to insult these players, however I think it's important to acknowledge the part their lack of understanding plays in this, simply because of the unfortunate consequences associated with it.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------One button macros will exist with or without these changes. They'll just be spammed over a longer period of time, much to the same effect - except happening over a longer period of time. The arguments that are suggesting that these changes would actually make combat more interesting and more skill based are truly absurd. Macros will always exist, period. The so called "one shot macros" that so many people are vehemently outraged over, are a non-issue in game for all but the tiny percentage of time that players spend in actual instanced PvP combat. The arguments you guys make do not justify changing things so drastically for such a small part of the player base. I'd give credit to the people who support this if you guys actually had an argument with substance. However, you simply do not.
Not good thing putting a part of Prot Paladins survival tool kit on the GCD. Somethings need to remain off the GCD, even for or especially for PvP. Oh well at least they're trying out 0.5 GCDs and not all 1.5 GCDs for somethings.
Ion Hazzikostas is a LAWYER, not a game developer. Now do you see why it's moronic to give someone like him lead? Games are supposed to be FUN. YEAH! FUN!
They might as well remove innervate from balance druids with this change. And defensive/movement cds on the gcd? Wow. I can't refund BfA and I probably wouldn't even if I could, but I suspect I won't play much of it if this stays in game. But hey, at least this is good news for competing MMOs. Time to go take another look at ESO. :)
I don't like this change, making the game feel clunkier doesn't feel like a good change in 2018.
You think you don't, but you do.
This is absolutely absurd. I wanted Battle for Azeroth to feel like a "battle" not a clunky mess.. Exactly why I quit Warlords of Draenor playing Warrior. We go from feeling powerful in Legion, to feeling like we all get to take turns hitting each other. The sad part is this makes melee impossible to get attacks off on classes that can kite extremely well. Will not be playing BfA if I have to waddle around with these GCD's.
I want a refund.
I have a bit of trouble seeing what a 0,5s gcd is even good for. It's not a long time. Might as well not have it there, it just makes it irritating.
