guess that explains the flying squares ive seen in beta up till now.
The new Fireblood animation is so sweet. I see tons of players hoping on that bandwagon.
Shadow Bolt looks terrible. It not only looks like a rip off of Void Bolt, it now sounds like it too. We are not Shadow Priests and shouldn't be casting their spells. Just a complete disappointment and they should revert to the vanilla animation at this point.
Actually, there are some new spell animations, but so far they are only linked to some Demonology abilities (as far as I've noticed).
They've had new Warlock "ready stance" and "casting" animations for months now, if you go to the dressing room here and scroll down the animation list to the L's it's all there. But they still haven't implemented them, I don't get why.
Err.. That's what I was trying to say in the post above yours - those caster animations are in the Beta now, at least for some Demonology spells.
Wow. I remember when shadow bolt was green and purple with a skull. This looks great!
Lol they look just like the shadow priest spells. Pretty sure Agony IS Shadow Word: Pain - purple and black spikes stabbing the target. Kinda surprised they didn't give us these animations back 7.3
Talk about steps in the wrong direction. What was wrong with the chattering skull and the skull flinging? At least they were strong, distinctive choices. This is just falling back on the obvious and the cliched.
Shadowbolt looks really horrible .. bring back the old flying skull, maybe make it little bit larger and add some high def purple smoke behind it. Would look awesome.
I Like the new shadow bolt, I always found the old one a little goofy. However, as lots of people /do/ like it perhaps they might make it into a glyph? That would make both camps (mostly) happy.
The shadowbolt animation was very iconic and now it is just a purple frostbolt. Very disappointed. I understand things need updated, but not everything does.Edit: My opinion of shadowbolt was based on viewing it from the back side. After looking at it coming at the camera head-on, I agree the simple, black skull could use an update. I still feel the live version is better because of the trailing particles that follow the skull. Instead of pasting the frostbolt animation, an update to the skull itself would be much better, and most importantly, preserve the unique animation of shadowbolt. In live, the Skull of the Man'ari could have changed the skull itself, and some of the best looks could have been implemented into BFA.
