This is an interesting move. I can see tucking it into Tailoring to let them generate consumables for sale, and the folks who use bandages will still be able to get them, it'll just take an additional step. And it's not hard to break down why it couldn't compete with Alchemy pots, since Alchemy is a primary profession and First Aid was something everyone had access to. Hmm. But between removing First Aid as a standalone secondary profession and the skill squish (where every expansion works kinda like the Pandaren Ways of Cooking) I wonder if this means they might be changing the limits on primary professions.
Bandages have been obsolote since LK. They sometimes had some use in soloing or pvp for some classes but absolutely zero use in pve.
I would only agree with the removal of First Aid if they were add a brand new secondary profession to the game.
Next time on "Pruning": Archaeology moved into Mining!Mining and Herbalism now secondary professions!
I don't want to see this removed, just made useful.
amen to this. i cant remember how many times ive used health pots and bandages over my life time playing wow. taking it out seems to be a bit of a silly idea
Giving bandages to tailoring seems like a good idea, right now all tailoring is good for is enchanting mats early in an expansion.
it used to be mandatory, especially for PVP, but I think it's pretty useless now, I don't remember when I used it last time
No....! if Blizzard thinks everything will be a tailoring, then everything will be to tailoring that's more fùck logic than she tanks in bikinis armors resist more a Tank with heavy big armor, but invalid argument that Demon Hunter in Diablo 3...It is one thing to use clothes for any benefit, but first aid is something different than putting cloths on wounds, each day more fantastic our world in Azeroth.
there was a dataminded spell i saw over at mmo-championFirst Aid (New) Heals 96,000 damage over 8 sec. 15 yd range. Instant (Channeled).First Aid (New) Heals 96,000 damage over 8 sec. 15 yd range. Instant (Channeled).Maybe First Aid will become a selfhealing spell for the classes that don't have any usual healing spells?
It' more or less outlived it's usefulness, so despite having some nostalgic attachment to the profession, I'm also kind of glad it's being retired.
A revamp of First Aid is necessary, personally I am against the removal of it...I remember when I first levelled my warrior in BC, the guide book explained how good and helpful it was to have bandages with you.And I have used quite a lot in my early WoW lifetime. Not sure if it was because I was noob, or because bandages was useful tho :D
I still sometimes use them on raid bosses. Especially on Eonar, first craft it then wait for a dmg taken from paraxis and now you can get 2-3 ticks of heal. Not much but it can save your life.
