you can filter the craft orders to make sure that the work order has mats it's easy don't be out raged at nothing.
This is how it should have been from the onset. As a buyer of many crafted items I always dread how costly and tedious it is running back and forth from the crafting table to the AH worrying about buying the wrong mats or not getting all of the right stuff. The issue is the crafting system SHOULD be part of the AH itself. That way prices could be smartly set by the market and scammers would have a much harder time of it.There's another (undocumented) change to crafting that's happened recently too where its suggesting very lowball commissions for things. That's likely a bigger source of the perceived crush of scammers.
If you're not paying attention to what you're crafting in Public Work Orders, then it's your fault. This is a community problem that fixes itself. If a hundred people are putting up work orders for 5g and not covering the cost of mats, then those orders should never get filled. If the people posting those orders are brain dead, they might just report in the same way...but more often than not, they will see they were being a cheap POS and provide a more reasonable commission. We don't need Blizzard to hold our hand at every juncture of the game.
I've got over a thousand days /played and I didn't have anyone on my ignore list. Just not something I ever used.Since this change I'm suddenly starting to have issues with the ignore list cap.
Use the Public Orders Reagent Column addon. With the click of a button, you no longer need to see WOs that dont have all reagents provided. Thanks to the creator for making this! https://i.imgur.com/Dqs2QpO.png
It'd be great if they would enable public orders to include reworking, and just have the quality setting be a limit. So if there's no chance someone can make a five star, they can't start the order.
The scammers are easy to spot, BUT it wastes my time as I have to manually check each category, and then each order (I'll download the new addon for the extra "all mats" column after this) in order to see if, for 50g on a Draconic Treatise, they've supplied the Burnished Ink and Awakened essence. Honestly they need a "report scammer" button rather than just the ability to ignore the player (as ignore still lists the category on "search", but the list is empty when you click on it).I've messaged a few where it's not quite so clear cut - the person who posted an order for a Dragonriding tmog, for 2000g, but the full mats cost 3000g, for example. Here it's usually they don't know the cost of the mats and hence the crafting cost. Blizzard could easily do an "average price of mats sold over the last week" (to exclude the scam post-and-cancel 1s mat bait posts) and default the commission to that + 10%. It could even be done in batch overnight, so they wouldn't have to integrate the auction house. It would skew a bit on reset day (when mat prices tend to be higher due to demand), but would work better than guesswork and ignored orders in the interim.Ideally, the long term fix is to integrate the Auction House with the Craft Order system. This buys the mats when the order is placed, and sets the commission to a percentage, or fixed amount, set by the purchaser.
They need to have an input here to have an up charge for additional materials that automatically pulls the lowest current AH price for that item plus 20% ...
they need to make sparks weekly not just 5.. its the most stupid crap to farm that has ever made farmable
Now the public orders are full with scammers. The worst change ever !
Really horrendous change that enables the worst most entitled behavior. They should just let the customer buy the mats needed through the AH directly from Crafting Order screen. Buy the items and list it all at once. Would be great for recrafts.
Do this means blacksmiths can go after the !@#$ing pathetic "Souls" items (Frosty Soul Fiery Soul) and I can pay them for these desgrace instead of having to buy a Zapthrottle Soul Inhaler and go hunt this #$%^ myself and NEVER AGAIN use it?
Look at all these high and mighty crafters, as if they all acted in honesty, didn't bluff on their inspiration chances, switching prof equips, sniping public order crafts, nor even charge at a lower market rate for their services. Now when the tables are turned, get all mad due to their own mistakes crafting without double checking and calling it foul-play.This is a community issue! There's already a confirmation window that says your own reagents will be used, and if u still proceed to craft it, that's on u.Other than tat, the Weakaura is definitely welcoming and hopefully minimizes your mistakes. Ty.
This is an awful change, i almost filled an engineering order for a toy the other day when i saw they only included the basic/cheap mats, but expected me to supply like 4k in mats.. with a ONE SILVER commission..
Absolutely horrid.
I noticed yesterday that work orders for the new profession curios from the Forbidden Reach can be made without supplying the BoP item. So either that’s a bug or an exception to the soulbound item rule.
