So we have a pivotal lore character and a nobody as the third to last boss.I still dont get why we dont just check our own ranks for dreadlords instead of random robots in the middle of nowhere, but I guess if we did that we wouldnt be constantly fooled by the dreadlords, and that's not fun.
How many times did they use the "players were fooled haha!" trope already ?
i bet there are some Dreadlords in the Blizzard writing team who are fooling the rest.
With known magic to identify Dreadlords in disguise, it's really weird that they're still able to deceive any hero from Azeroth. An enchanted ring or neckless, or even goggles, should be a must-have for anyone (or at least the player-character) until the Dreadlords are no longer a threat. I know it's for the story, but it feels like everyone is really dumb and not learning any lessons here... Instead of making us reforge some useless keys to open a gateway to a realm where everyone in the cosmos is able to travel anyway now, the story could have focused on us actually looking for ways to fight domination magic and protect ourselves from agents of the Jailer, like the Dreadlords. It could have had a real impact going forward in the story, forcing the Dreadlords to actually get a bit more creative to manipulate us, or even us being proactive in hunting them down all over Azeroth.
I remember Jailer from Warcraft 3
I haven't been following the lore since it went bonkers in Legion.
Yea, I was thinking that during my playthrough too lol How in the world are the Dreadlords constantly surprising us in our own camp when we have the tech/Baroness Vashj around. Like how does this keep happening lol Do we learn anything
You mean thoughtful story telling ? gasp!
Am I the only one who read the headline in the "Who's that Pokemon?" voice?
1. Kin'tessa is also the one that flies in to grab Remornia in the 9.1 Revendreth cutscene, while Mal'Ganis was distracting us. Grabbing Remornia was actually Detheroc's job, but for unknown reasons he couldn't make it.2. The Sire's rescue wasn't planned by Mal'Ganis, Mal'Ganis was just following orders and was given the most central job. The nathrezim that came up with the plan is the one that wrote the encrypted instructions, but his/her name is unknown.
The first time I went thru the campaign, on my main, I read the texts (yeah people do that), and once I get to these parts of it, I began thinking that I'd find out some Dreadlord doing shady stuff. All those 3 commander we're sent to talk to by Bol'Var, that weren't at the place they should be we saying that WE sent them to those places they were.I just wished I had the chance to chew off more of Mal'Ganis' HP when we faced him.
Flavor text on the new demonhunter warglaive that drops in the raid inplies Kin'tessa has been active since at least burning crusade Alandien's Tortured Twinblades
