Yeah these are pretty cool
neat
well I think I need to submit a bug report about the first one... I swear the fella in the cave said it had to be done in 5 moves or less
Cool. The 3 new games don't seem as fun as the 2 copied over from Nazjatar but we'll see I guess.
The nazjatar puzzles were cool the first couple times I did them back in BFA but quickly grew more annoying than entertaining.
Scrap all you can find* tag anew name and make it useless so no one can complaint = blizzard latest philosophy
Honestly i like puzzles like that. Granted it is not on a scale of minigame from other games... but still. Most other MMOs are not as old as wow. Maybe there are engine constrictions. Idk but i am also no bitter as hell as some others here... so there is that^^
~SOLUTION~122113233It's playing Set, but with the added challenge of leaving nothing behind afterwards. That one actually felt harder than playing Set, but it was fun. I wish they had 'copper, silver, gold' alongside the number. It would help with visualization, as having everything be gold increases the challenge over having number/color be paired up. As in, a single border would be bronze colored, and three borders would be gold colored. Just my two cents as someone who grew up playing Set a LOT.
Took me way too long to figure out the Cantaric lock. I'm not very smart.
My skills at bling circuit game can finally be useful!
I had fun solving these on the PTR. Well, the first three ones.
Could be fun. I almost thought the first one was picross for a second lol.
The Cantaric Protolock is easy: lines 3,5,6,7,9 and rows 4,7Solution for the Fugueal Protolock:P2-P1 | C2-S2 | S2-C3P1-C1 | P1-C2 | P1-C3C2-C1 | S3-S2 | P1-P3C = Circle, S = Square, P = Polygon (Hexagon/Triangle)My Thoughts that lead to this Solution:Including method:- The most common border shape is P (5x)- The most common number of borders are 1 and 2 equally (both 4x)- The most common core shape is C (5x)- The most common number of cores are 1, 2 and 3 all equal (each 3x)- Therefor the runes with most common characteristics are P1-C1, P1-C2 and P1-C3 (since the 4 runes with 2 borders do not share more than 2 other characteristics).Excluding method:- There can be up to 12 matches (2x2 variables x 3 variations )- Since a match requires a combination of 3 characteristics, those with only 1 or 2 occurrences can be excluded: > There is only one rune with 3 borders > C and S borders only appear twice > P and S cores only appear twice- This leaves only the following 7 matches: 1, 2 or 3 cores; 1 or 2 borders; C cores; P borders- A 3x3 table does have 3 lines, 3 rows, and 3 diagonals, i.e. allows up to 8 matches- This means there is at least one mismatch to be consideredMy steps (using a 3x3 excel table and distinguishable colors instead of shapes):- I put the rune with the most common characteristics in the middle (since there were 3 equal choices, i put all 3 in the middle line)- Putting P1-C2 in the middle was a lucky guess (I made the choice to order the three middle ones by numbers), I have not tried if there are more solutions (other than 4 due to mirroring).- Since the characteristic of core numbers are equally 3 runes each, I matched the remaining runes in every row (1 core, 2 cores, 3 cores)- I made sure the upper line did match (2 borders) - And finally checked the diagonals matching (down: P borders; up: C Cores) and if the lower line mismatched (which it did beautifully)I hope those who may struggle with this puzzle find this useful, to not have to resort to trial&error.
Everyone talking about how to solve these puzzles meanwhile I'm sat here buzzing at them all having musical term names (Cantata, Mezzo, Fugue, Glissando, Toccata) and how it ties into the language that we've to decode sounding musical, at least from the 9.2 introduction video. Linguistics and music, oh this patch is getting more and more of my interest piqued :D
I hope with minigames they make dragging smooth and NOT like it was in BFA when we were trying to match pairs of images
i liked these in nazjatar. better than "kill 10x X to get item Y"
