Why does Blizzard hate multi-speccing again? Interestingly, this design philosophy actually hurts classes with well designed legendaries like Elemental Shaman or Mistweaver, that have multiple viable and/or optimal choices way more than others that only want a single one anyway.
Time gating aside (which is I agree getting very tedious) - if we assume the raid opens up on week 1 or 2 - a lot of raiders are going to feel obligated (rightly or wrongly) to upgrade to level 5 ASAP and again to level 6 3 weeks later. We already know that Blizz are not changing the "base item" requirement - so a significant gold sink for raiders having to pay out TWICE AGAIN - for a level 5 and a level 6 base item. At the start of this Expansion (depending on the realm you were on), you were forced to pay out the better part of 600-800k gold to get to rank 1-4 if you're pushing content. One would suspect similar amounts this time around to get from 4-6. Casual players naturally will wait until prices crash months later and who can blame them? But for raiders/high m+s - this isn't fair.Blizz just need to dump this base item nonsense for items that are frankly REQUIRED for players to raid or do reasonably high M+ or make them self-craftable regardless of profession with some grinding/effort. It's not fair if you're the wrong profession to have to go and level an alt or switch professions and push the relevant profession to save what will be a sizeable chunk of gold. This sort of stuff should be for cosmetics or items that give you a quick upgrade if you want to buy it but are available elsewhere and you can do without. Legendaries do not fall into that category and should not be tied to quite significant gold payments unless you otherwise have the correct profession.
but then either 80% of the community would hate it because they can't kill a mythic boss or if you do it like in cata, where legendaries felt like legendaries, you'd again have 80% of the community hate it because not every class had a legendary back then (only rogues and casters in cata, or two handed weapon users in WOTLK) and people would feel like other classes would get an unfair advantage over their class.I dont think we can get this legendary feeling back, but not because of blizzard but more because of the community.
People here are also acting like they need to get their max rank legos or do 0 dps. It's a 25 ilvl upgrade that only upgrades stats in one slot. You guys are probably not even gonna notice a big difference when you go from 235 legos to 260.
One thing I want to know is, what happens when you upgrade a rank 4 socketed legendary to rank 5-6.
So, is there a point to farming Soul Ash now and until 9.1, or will it be reset or something? cause no fun allowed?

To much time-gated stuff again and again... They should at least reduce it to 2 weeks, 4 weeks - 5 weeks of effort is pointless. They make all these wonderful legends and we can not even use them what's the god damn point of having more than 10 legends and using 2-3 max rest is just an image even though you want to craft it, you won't since it is not a bis and just a huge pain in the ass...
Rank bloat. It would be nice to eliminate the lower ranks now that Normal raid will be around 220 ilvl.
