That is actually handy, for engineers.
Couldn't you just use regular traps at that point since it was made immune to the ghastly purge
Who you gonna call?
#showtooltip/cast 50UL-TR4PFor an easy 1click cast. Some extra warnings: The item is Bind-on-USE, so make sure you use it once before you're in the middle of a key wondering why it doesn't work. Also, the Trap can backfire and it will Banish you and drop all aggro for 12seconds, this is an auto-wipe if you're the Tank. The backfire rate seems to be about a 5% chance if you have maxed SL Engineering. If you search for the item name on wago.io there are weakauras that will display an icon and announce if/when the Trap backfires.EDIT: oh and the Trap doesn't interfere with any other important Cooldowns AFAIK. You can still use DPS Pots and your Invis Belt Tinker along with the Trap.
Now thats a really god tip. Thx, will abuse it a lot with my hunter :D
I would not use this excessively, though. This is one of the cases where it is obvious the mechanics shouldn't work this way and the dudes at blizz missed to add a flag.So excessive use of this trick might result in unwanted actions against your account and push a fix way up in the priority list. So: Please use it sparsely fore the sake of everyone :P
Even if the item doesn't share CDs with potions and other stuff, remember it has 3min CD. So be careful for WHEN to use it properly.
Who is still doing dungeons in s4? Every 15 i try to do im in LFG for hours looking for people.
Game mechanic not working as intended?
This fight has been nerfed so many times that players should not need to seek out engineers or druids. This strategy may be handy for some, but not all. My suggestion is to learn priorities and burn through the guests before killing Moroes. I may not be pushing keys at around 30+, but I am not a mythic raider either. The last time I ran that dungeon on Tyrannical was on 09/13 as a +20. My heals were 16.9k hps with less than 30% over healing, and our damage totaled 57.8k dps. We used heroism. We had a demo warlock, BM hunter, elemental shaman, dk tank, and a holy priest (me). It took us 3:04 to complete. Our shaman died, but self-rez asap. The key is to understand the different abilities each guest has. Trap the two casters and kill the other two guests asap. When all guests are active, this fight becomes difficult. You will need to move until the guests are killed off. Just focus, move, and perform well.
Use a dungeon mechanic in the dungeon? *surprised Pikachu face*Wait I'm an idiot, we're talking about the engineer one... Seems redundant to me though!
