When Lei Shen discovered a rare clutch of thundering cloud serpents, he was awed, and set to subjugating them. The largest hatchling fiercly resisted, and when Lei Shen visited the handling pens, he laughed mightily at the charred mogu that lined the walls. He took the hatchling for his own, and for its obedience, granted it power over the storms and the sky. For thousands of years following the death of the Thunder King, Nalak has guarded the walls of his hidden citadel, awaiting his return.
As the war against Lei Shen's island citadel began, Alliance and Horde scouts made an effort to intercept missives between the major Zandalari camps. One such exchange seemed to revolve around an unfamiliar Zandalari word, always surrounded by terms of conquest and power: Oondasta. Somewhere in Pandaria, the Zandalari Beast Ward raises their mighty beasts as engines of war, and is putting the finishing touches on this Loa-infused monstrosity. The exact location, however, remains unknown...

The Zandalari brought powerful creatures with them to the Isle of the Thunder King to use as engines of war. Led by the War-God Jalak, the dinomancers of the Zandalari Beast Ward use ancient tribal magics to strengthen the great beasts and command obedience. The horns of Horridon, the fabled mount of Jalak himself, can tear through the stone walls of a keep as a blade cuts silk.
In 25-Player Heroic Difficulty, a Soul Fragment is created every time that the Spirit of Gara'jal is forced out of a councillor.
In 10-Player modes, 2 stacks of Frostbite are removed for each player within 4 yards.
On Raid Finder difficulty, 4 stacks of Frostbite are removed for each player within 4 yards.

Deep within the bowels of Lei Shen's island citadel, mogu flesh-shapers formed the saurok out of a magical substance of unknown origin. When the citadel was abandoned, some experiments languished in the dark pools for far too long....
In Heroic Difficulty, Primordius can have 4 mutations.

A heroic only boss with no encounter journal. Awesome!
Lol, like how the Thunder Palace picture is the Old Kingdom.
Ha, dinomancers. Love it.
I think Zarhym is missing the point entirely: not everyone enjoys raiding, let alone LFR (given the amount of retardation found in that environment). Some people like to do heroics and find them to be a pretty fun way to itemize, gear up and have fun. Using a reason like "there was no LFR before" is a very, very weak explanation (much like their delay in deathmatches and PvP in Diablo 3 -- they farfetched it and now no one gives a hoot). It is, pretty much, like TBC poaching for some -- why should I have to endure LFR instead of some heroics to gear up and be able to do a normal raid afterwards? Maybe for MSV, but not for the other, higher raids (which was why we got new dungeons and heroics back in the late BC, Wrath and Cata). To advance to a higher raid tier, you could do it in the new heroics and progress from there, not endure LFR to do so.Not saying LFR shouldn't be an option. Yay for LFR and even with the morons and crappy raid environment, it's a good choice for some... but a lack of heroics for THAT reason is just downright weak.
I do hope Blizz includes some worthy drops from the new scenarios, and please improve the drop chance for them... because it currently is horrible. The same goes for LFR drops. I do hope that if the plan is to gear up with LFR from MSV, HoF we are able to at least get 1 piece per week. I've spent 3 weeks on 2 different characters, always spending 3 coins and only seen 1 or 2 worthy drops and some repeats which end up being useless....Only being able to get loot once a week from LFR makes gearing up pretty hard... plus the 1k valor cap doesn't help either. Maybe increase the number of coins (charms of good fortune) players get every week or improve the chance for drops, cause, seriously..... ¬¬
Maybe, if they're gonna focus on making players do LFR for gearing up....maybe they'll give us more gold than its giving right now..or maybe turn up the droprate percentage on gear seeing as how (unless you use tokens) you only get one shot at gear per boss per week. Whereas, if you ran a Heroic 5 man dungeon, you could randomly run them all day/night/week until you got the drops you were farming.
This post was from a user who has deleted their account.
in cata LFR people would need on OS and win rolls while us people grinding LFR for main spec gear get left out i say if your grinding for OS then que LFR in that spec i been running LFR on my monk 3 weeks still yet to get any gear just turned 90 and got to 462 on my pally first trip 6bosses=no gear glad someones getting gear
I'm a bit disappointed with no new 5 mans for the rest of MoP. I can see where they're coming from, and there probably isn't much more room for 463 blues. It's still a bit disappointing, scenarios aren't that great IMO.
But I don't like LFR, there's far too many complete strangers chattering away in at least 5 different languages (On EU servers) for any real tactics to appear. What's more I like to play as a tank and there is zero chance to learn the tactics on LFR because I'm constantly getting shouted at in Czechoslovakian before being kicked for a single mistake.I thought LFR was implemented as a way to give miserable solo players like myself a chance to see the end game content (because they can't put it in 5-man dungeons for no real reason) and to give people more choices at end game.
Jin'rohk the Breaker and High Priestess Mar'li are back? Awesome!
Not entirely sure about this, the quote "And LFR tier progression didn't exist when higher ilvl 5-mans were added" suggests that they may be sticking to their plans of "Valor only for upgrading" + the faction rep pieces. Other gearing path ways: Possibly the new world bosses drop Throne of Thunder normal gear, and possibly even more gear is added to the Caches from scenarios? Also more crafting gear, more holidays gear, another level of Honor gear...
In reading the article and cross-referencing with Zarhym's tweets, it's inaccurate to say that there won't be anymore 5Mans in the entirety of MoP. He does state there won't be any in 5.2 and eludes that they want to avoid the ICC Roics and HoT Roics model, but he doesn't explicitely say "no more 5 mans in MoP."
I for one would welcome LFR as the new add-patch Heroic Dungeons (which get boring to farm and makes rep-worthless mid-expansion), if it was 10man, but 25man is just asking for trouble. I wish they'd stop forcing solo players together when it is obvious cooperation is not their strong-suit. Small groups work best. I'd personally love as low as 7 players to 12 as an upper limit for Raids.
Translation:Since recycling content did not go over so well, to further reduce the amount of work we have to put into the game, we decided to trade having new 5 man content for have 5 different difficulty levels of the same raid. And, if they want to replace 5 mans with LFR, then drop the 1 loot per week rule. At least with 5 mans, I could grind for a piece of gear if I chose to. Now, I get 1 shot a week (+ tokens).
